Best gym in Auckland.nLove that there’s a women’s only section upstairs, never seen that in any other gym.nGreat equipment, probably one of the biggest gyms in Auckland, always clean, staff is alright but some of them could be more friendly.nToilets are always clean, never seen them dirty.nOnly thing is that I wish they had stretching machines like the ones in Les Mills Britomart.
I’d like to begin by giving a big shout out to T.J. And Lauren. They were so helpful and welcoming. They created an incredible first impression and helped us find our way around the huge facility.nI’ve been to many gyms the world over, however I would rate this one as stand out exceptional; an example for others to follow. Not only are the classes and instructors world beating, but the equipment is second to none. Les Mills led the way in introducing corporatised and standardised science based fitness classes decades ago.nNotably, during the pandemic Les Mills delivered an on demand offering that was affordable, and accessible, for people who had minimal equipment at home.nI’ve been going to Les Mills classes for over 20 years. It’s an unbelievable experience to attend a class led by someone you’ve watched in on demand classes again and again. Glen and Rach are two of my favourites, pictured below.nImportantly, Les Mills continues to innovate and, in my opinion dominate, the fitness industry because classes are designed theoretically and lean into current trends. Importantly they are trialled live and modified inline with user feedback. I attended Kylie’s new Hatha Earth class and provided feedback verbally and online.nFabulous also to attend a Trip class in the state of the art studio; as well as, use the well equipped and designed women’s gym. Loved seeing dumb bells in increments of 1kg. Useful for people with less upper body strength. Absolutely loads of weights equipment for people at all fitness levels.nHelpful staff throughout the gym directed me to equipment and to the changing rooms.nSomething else I noticed; didn’t see any broken equipment. Overall not a single negative thing to say.
The best gym I have ever been to.nWorld class.nnWheelchair accessnThere is a non wheelchair friendly stile, but reception staff can help you access the back half of the gym boxing, circuits, weights, functional movement area.nnBut they have the front half of the weights, stretch and women only areas are split by the stile arm and the air Bridge, so half the gym will be difficult to access.nnThe toilets, sauna and changing area for male and females is down stairs which would be difficult for full wheelchair disability. For torn achilles or if on crutches then it's pretty navigatable.nnCafe / Coffee / energy drinks / foodnThey have a cafe or seating area and a separate cafe in the facility that serves food and coffee / drinks and it's very delicious, a bit pricy but all healthy. Separate business not associated with LM.nnXtreme NutritionnThere is a supplement store just next to the LM parking building which has great service and products, not associated with LM.nnPhysio, PTs and nutritionistnThey have physio, World class PTs and a nutritionist on site.
this is the dreamed gym. Very warm and friendly staff at from desk. The facility got everything you can imagine and the conditions are impeccable. Even the bathrooms and changing rooms are neat and clean. There’s like a tiny Cafe inside with some tables to have a seat and have your meal there. Lift and ramps are your options if you have walking limitations.
Love this gym. Very welcoming. I’ve found lots of classes I enjoy. The classes are well planned and instructors watch that you are moving safely. Incredible instructors entertaining and caring.
