Traveling with my friend for 8 months we never had a place that felt like home as much as Leeway’s did. Anja, the hostel manager, made everyone feel very safe and welcomed. She tries to help as much as she can, especially with finding jobs in the area. Her two little dogs were always a happy surprise in the garden. The Hostel itself is really nice and cozy. The kitchen, bathrooms, tv room, the shed, everything was well equipped and always clean. We made so many good friends in the hostel from all around the world it truly did feel like a little family. We spent a lot of time together having barbecues, game nights, beach trips… it wasn’t easy to leave the hostel and continue with our travels. Although we never planned on staying in one place for longer than a couple of weeks, it was the best decision we could’ve ever made and we enjoyed every minute of it. This place will forever be special to us. We would 100% recommend it to anyone.
Best hostel in Blenheim by far. Met so many wonderful people there. Anja is a real one, she is always helping people with everything, like finding jobs, tips for backpackers, places to go,etc. She's a wonderful woman. The dogs are also just beautiful. I spent almost 2 months there, it was my home. I will miss this place and the people there Really recommend this place to stay for short or long term.
The best backpackers in Blenheim! The perfect place to stay long term or short term. I lived here for almost 2 months, as a backpacker, this was my first home away from home. Thanks to lovely Anja, the manager of the hostel, who is always having a little talk with you and making sure you are comfortable, and fellow backpackers in the hostel who became good friends. During my long term stay, Anja made sure the atmosphere in the Backpackers was good, which resulted in a close group that did a lot of things together in the weekends and had an amazing Christmas dinner/weekend with all of us. The hostel is perfect for a long term stay since most of the people are working in the neighbourhood of Blenheim. A good and quiet atmosphere, where everyone is respected. A good place to be stuck for a while
One of the best backpackers that I have stayed in during my Working Holiday Travels!nnManager Anja was such a lovely nice friendly lady. Always trying her best to help. Giving good advices and tips for all the backpackers/travelers.nnIf you are trying to look for a job. Anja will always try to help and look for introduction for you so it might help you better.nnMy pleasure to meet up with one of the best group of travelers during my stay there too!nnGreat views from the location as well.nHas a small field that is just across the road that you can walk over for a little star gazing session or sunset session.nLocated at the small corner of the road which is also relatively peaceful without much road noises.nnOverall staying experience 5stars!!nWill definitely recommend others to give it a go!
Where do I start? This hostel provided me with a home for nearly 2 months.nAnja Hostel manager makes everyone feel super comfortable and always cleans the hostel to a great standard. She goes above and beyond for everyone and I truly feel I found a good friend in her.nThe hostel is in a good location, a short trip to town and Pak n Save, and has a really cosy and homely vibe to it.nI made a wonderful group of friends in this hostel, whom I had many bbqs, beach trips and happy days and nightswith.nIf you are looking for a home away from home then I’d definitely recommend Leeway’s.nAnja also has two little dogs which everyone adores and they really lighten up the place - it’s just a really lovely place to be.
