Story

Laneway is located in Bath St, Dunedin. We have an all day breakfast menu, cabinet food and a tapas menu for lunch and dinner.
With the help of our chefs we have created a delicious Spanish inspired menu.
Our tapas menu is made up of smaller portions to give you the opportunity to try a bit of everything or to share amongst friends.
All of our food is locally sourced where possible and all our sauces are made in house.
We have personally tried every beer and wine on our alcohol list to ensure we have the best selection (All beer and wine is from NZ or Spain).

Wonderful staff, special mention to Jules who was lovely. The food was amazing, perfect way of enjoying a dinner, we had lots of “small” plates with a large variety of things to choose from. Will definitely visit again when in Dunedin. I highly recommend it! Slightly offset from the crowds of the octagon too which makes for a more relaxing environment to enjoy a meal.

Amazing food, great service and generous servings. Highly recommend! The flavor balancing is sublime. Everything was delicious. Pork belly and angus steak pictured with the pear and walnut salad and marinated olives. All great! Churros for dessert were also amazing!
This place is a winner! Wonderful ambience, friendly service, excellent food and top notch coffee. Best breakfast I have had in Dunedin, with a good selection to choose from.
Great breakfast and tapas menu the benoffe is served warm with cream n bananas different & delicious! Staff were very friendly & delivered an excellent service, this place is a definite to do.
Absolutely love this place. Nestled away down Bath St in Dunedin CBD it brings a vibe you wouldn't expect just walking past. The staff are so helpful and kind, willing to impart their wisdom of the menu you have in front of you. The fire roaring makes it feel so homely and comforting for a nice meal out. I usually go here for breakfast when I need a good pick me up but tonight's dinner takes this place to another level for me. If you can't sit down for a meal the slices are to die for. Always great quality. Can't wait to head back again. One of my top picks for some tapas or even breakfast the next day also.
Loved the marinated steak and patatas bravas, the chicken, empanadas, and arancini was so so. Would come back again to try other stuff but most definitely will come back for the steak.
Great coffee, reasonably priced. A real fire and comfy sofa! Great staff.
