Having been established in Dunedin’s Octagon for well over a decade, we believe we have the recipe just right!

Story

If you fancy a quick snack off the menu, something from the well stocked cake cabinet including gluten free choices, or are in for the whole dining experience. Nova Café can cater for your every need.

We are famous for our breakfasts and produce an array of the best desserts in town. Our lunch and dinner menus feature local seafood, fresh produce, and change regularly to reflect the seasons. We have a superb selection of local Central Otago wines to match our delicious food.

Nova Café proudly serves fresh roasted Allpress coffee plus a wide range of standard and herbal teas.

This was by far the best donut I've ever had! They have many flavors but I tried the salted caramel which was amazing. It was also fun to inject the filing into the donut myself. The staff was really nice and helpful. I would definitely go back here when I'm in the area!

Good place to have a good breakfast to start the day. Very friendly staffs and they are helpful. In the afternoon, there are variety choices of cakes for tea time. Good Earl Grey tea served here.

Brilliant food for a reasonable price. It gets busy at lunchtime, so I would definitely recommend making a booking! Received a glass of sparkling water after being promptly seated, hence you may want to ask for still if that is not your thing.

Tried to go here for lunch, however is was very busy. Instead went for breakfast the next morning. Food is superb, although maybe on the slightly expensive side. They serve a range of food in the day from french toast through to ramen. Coffee is good, and they provide you with sparkling water when you sit down. This can be changed to still by simply asking
