A wonderful oasis of bushland & wildlife surrounded by the city.

This National Park is a sliver of bushland running along either side of the Lane Cove River.

Its free to enter for walkers and there are numerous entry paths along the course of the river. 

Parking is free, but the daily vehicle entry fee is $8, no matter if you spend 15 minutes or all day. The collection of the entry fee is honesty based via parking ticket machines throughout the park, however the fine for not paying the entry fee is $1,500.

There is no option for anyone driving to visit for less than a few hours.

The daily entrance fee is waived for holders of the annual NSW National Parks multi-parks pass ($65), so regular visitors to the Lane Cove National Park would find that good value.

The common animals found in the park include lots of water dragons, scrub turkeys, magpies & sulfur crested cockatoos.
