Beautiful lakeside walk, perfect for watching black swans and wood ducks.

What an ideal spot this is for family picnic. Extremely picturesque lake, with lots and lots of black swans, cokatoos amd other wild life. Cokatoos get really chirpy in the evening and you might get to see swan ducklings as well. Lots of shaded areas available for picnic. A good play ground. Vast green lands for a bit of footy and soccer. There is tram coffee shop near the playground as well. And just across the road there are beautiful and tranquil botanic gardens.Overall A must go place.

Very nice and calm place to spend a sunny afternoon with friends and family. Great views of the lake. Good scope for photography.

Saw some wonderful photos online and thought of dropping by during holidays. Only 2hrs drive max from northern suburbs. You could spend an hour or two to walk a stretch of lake wendouree and botanical gardens opposite. Loved it! Would recommend for those who don’t mind walking and peaceful nature environment. There is a cafe facing the lake as well, why not having a coffee with a lake view.
