Had the absolute pleasure of enjoying a day out at Lake Kurwongbah with volunteer members of the Kedron Wavell Sub Branch.  Being able to share this experience with families & people with disabilities involved with Legacy & other organisations was outstanding    Lake Kurwongbah is a fantastic man made lake providing drinking water for the local community.  This lake also caters to a variety of water-based activities such as water skiing & has an area for rowing.  These activities are available via permit. We were met onsite by members of the Ski club who looked after everyone in a professional manner.  There were people on the day who provided the boating, life jackets & all the water-based equipment.  Safety is paramount & all due care is taken into account.  Would definitely recommend anyone wanting to enjoy a great time taking in the local bird species, walking trails & picnic areas available near the Dam Wall to put it in your diary

Absolutely beautiful. Such serenity which was rudely interrupted by fools with their toy boats...apart from that I highly recommend visiting here.

Nice spot for picnic or BBQ. Only 1 shared smelly drop toilet.
