What a spectacular place, we were fortunate enough to see the dam spilling over on our first visit, we then ventured up top and had an ice cream and walked in the manicured grounds to see the dam from atop. Plenty of car parking and things to see along with some history. It was a pleasant visit and well worth seeing.

It has a nice area for a coffee or light meal. The dam itself is worth the walk across the top or go down a bit to the bottom of the spillway. You can walk around the other side of the dam and have a picnic and let the children run free. Please note they do not encourage domestic animals.

Great for a half day trip into the hinterland for tourists and locals. If there's been heavy rain within a day or two of visiting, then you're in for a treat with the torrent of water pouring off the dam. There's a cafe and a visitors learning centre at the top of the hill. Great walks around the area, and a park at the bottom for a picnic with the family. It's an easy, affordable, half day out.

A great place for families and couples to come and walk, rest and play. The walks around the water are vast, and lovely. The gardens are big, and there is a lot of space for kids to run/cycle/scooter about. You cannot swim in the dam, but there are so many other places that you can swim, it's not really a problem.

Great visitor centre and picnic areas. Loved the view and walk across the top of the dam. Will go again and spend more time exploring the "other" side!!
