L'Osteria Restaurant

I admittedly haven’t been here for many years. I’d stumbled on it by chance whilst looking for a nice Italian place to take my (at the time) girlfriend. She and i LOVED it (and were given free desert). She use to live in Italy and said the desert was hands down the only thing she ever tasted that matched the real thing! I so desperately wanted to come back here (I had forgotten the name) that I’ve found the place by google-street view-ing the whole of Nicholson st. Now I’m back living in Melbourne I want to make this my ‘local’! I’ve never ever tasted a margarita so orgasmically delicious! I can’t wait to try the food again and I hope true quality is still top notch. I raved about this place the whole time I lived in Adelaide - the decor is gorgeous, the service was amazing, The food was out of this world, and the owner was charming as can be! Can’t wait to come back!!

I had dinner here on New Year’s Eve and it was great. Good food great and friendly service and great pace. Wine was excellent too.

I've never left a bad review before but I feel the need to this time. After sitting for 20 mins with nothing but menus and not being noticed after several attempts to get the waitresses attention we decided to leave. Came because of the glowing reviews but sadly didn't experience the same.

I've been coming here for years. The food and service has always been excellent. In my view the best Pizzas in Melbourne.

Everything was exceptional. The owners are lovely people, speak fluent Italian so makes the experience even better. Their food best resembles traditional Italian food you'll probably have in Italy. Everything from entrees to dessert was amazing. The pizza base was very soft and the toppings were rich in taste. Would highly recommend trying to place for any occasion. For the price they charge you and the quality of food you get, I think it's the best food to value ratio. This place is one to remember and probably the best Italian food you'll have in Melbourne.
