We had dinner at Kritamos last night and I can still taste the chargrilled calamari. It was, without a doubt, the best calamari I have ever had. We followed the chargrilled calamari with a meat platter for two, which was also brilliant. The ladies working the house were very friendly and were more than happy to substitute the tzaziki for scordalia because of a yoghurt intolerance. We're so happy that we found Kritamos, because we'll definitely be back.
Had a great meal at Kritamos for my Mothers birthday. Staff were attentive and friendly but no over the top. Food was fresh and even impressed my Greek partner. Prices where reasonable considering the quality.
Have a group of 10 there tonight, the food was very ordinary, Aggy the owner keep pushing us for a banquet which charge $50.00 per person.. We thought is fair enough.. However, we end up pay much more extra of over price of side dishes that brought out to our table.. Beware of this restaurant , waiter very good of service but they will charge you excessive prices for everything. Not happy and will not return or recommend to anyone. Feeling ripoff . No wonder the restaurant so quiet.
My partner and I bought a voucher off Groupon for our anniversary and they managed to make a last minute booking for us. The staff were really friendly and chatty and the food was even better. Tasted authentic and the bottle of wine was yummy... would definitely come back again
My husband and I dined at kritamos last night and loved everything about it. The food was beautiful particularly some of the small dishes we initially ordered. The service was great. Friendly. Felt at home! We will be back!
Recently had a 50th there and it was a nice place, great wait staff but there was not enough food for everyone. The white bait fish had a few calamari rings in there only and the meat platter was insufficient. There was only one skewer of chicken an some meat between six people. Upon asking we were told that they only gave two plates per table which had about 10 people. Wouldn't recommend it for a large function but maybe okay as a dinner out.
I cannot rave highly enough about this AMAZING restaurant. I dined here on Saturday with 5 girlfriends and we all were blown away! Agy is hands down the friendliest, funniest and best waitress/host I have met in a long long time. She knew perfectly when to interrupt us so that we would actually get a chance to order and when to leave us to chat, offered fantastic suggestions on food and wine and was always there for anything we needed. And the food..... The food was fantastic - best saganaki EVER!!!! Do yourself a favour guys and get down here before everyone discovers this place!
Just Wow. I will definitely be back and recommending this restaurant to everybody. We purchased a Groupon deal not really knowing what to expect. The staff are very friendly and warm, the food is very tasty and the overall experience was 10/10.
Made a booking online with friends who had come down from interstate for the weekend and arrived at the restaurant to be told that there was a private function that night and be turned away after disgusting treatment by the staff. Three women all spoke to me at once and were unbelievably condescending. Firstly they said that they'd called and cancelled my booking, which was a blatant lie. They then suggested that I had made a mistake coming in and had meant to go to the Thai restaurant next door...just because I'm Asian doesn't mean I meant to book at the Thai restaurant next door. I had the booking confirmation on my phone - I know which restaurant I booked. Then they said that they'd not received the booking in time to cancel it for me. I firstly don't understand why they were even accepting bookings if the whole restaurant was shut for a function, then why they lied to me about cancelling a booking, then racially stereotyping me. Horrific experience. Nearly ruined the evening for our whole party of four. Luckily we found somewhere else nearby that was extremely welcoming and didn't patronise us for simply showing up at a reservation we'd made at a supposedly-nice restaurant.
Amazing food and excellent service. The star of the meal was my wife's chargrilled calamari. The dips melitzanosalata, tzatziki and beetroot with stacks of bread were a tie for second with my mousaka. Just go if you like or want to experience good Greek cooking...
