I'm sorry to say I don't recommend this place for a buffet meal. Definitely not value for your money. No where enough to eat. I was still hungry. I thought it would be like the Timaru Koji. Sadly I was wrong. The heat pump leaked badly with water pouring out of it all the time we were there.Food: 1/5

Went there for lunch today. Been there many times for lunch & dinner. Food always good. Different  waiting staff same old good services.Food: 5/5

Was looking for a quick chain sushi takeaway on the way through ashburton.  So glad we didn't and found this place.  The decor is beautiful, food was sensational. Highly recommend the salmon lunchbox.  Sushi prices super reasonable for fresh made.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Christchurch. The food was excellent. The miso soup is amazing, a bit salty but we loved it. The edamame beans were boiled the right amount. And the two mains we tried, teppan chicken and teriyaki salmon, were both very tasty and very well made. We love Japanese food and this was awesome. The staff was very friendly and smiling and served us with pleasure. The restaurant is well maintained and the decour is very rustic and done with gusto. We highly recommend it.

A quiet gem in the suburbs. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, particularly the chicken dishes great size chicken pieces!. Great decor and atmosphere too.  Parking: Parking only available on the road

I ordered katsu, donburi and beef tadaki Katsu’s some parts was super soft but some parts was a bit hard to chewing Donburi was just got eggs and chicken .. no sauce..  But beef tadaki was super super super nice I love it and wanna try more !!

UPDATED: Went again on June2021, only downside is that sauce of Agedashi tofu is too less. Many items can be made vegan. Appreciate the lady that answered my enquiry via their FB patiently.  --------- did out 2nd visit few days ago, request to make all dishes less salty this time and my partner is satisfied with the taste. Worth to be back again. The menu is quite vege-friendly. Only a little disappointment on the Tofu Avo Salad, portion and flavour was good, but only 2 pieces of fried tofu + 5 thin slices of avocados, with majority of grated carrot,lettuce and sprout mixed, not matching the dishes name, I reckoned.  By the way, the duty manager Amy has a friendly attitude, though that night only her in the front desk, serving many tables the same time, but still carry a good smile, worth praising for a staff in service-oriented business. ------ went 3 months ago, reasonable price and ambience, but food are a bit too salty

Fantastic food I think it’s up there with the best in Ashburton.

We drove down from Christchurch for lunch, we were disappointed with the quality of the bento today,  we have had much better in the past at this restaurant.Food: 2/5
