I have never been treated so appallingly by a Kmart employee before. The duty manager, Laura, stormed through the store behind me, both going towards the fitting rooms. She disgustingly looked at me and directed I was to take 6 to the fitting rooms which I was well aware. The young girl working the change rooms was lovely and took the items from me. Laura then demanded I leave my personal shopping bags from another store behind the desk, as was the rules. I said ‘that’s weird, I’ve been here multiple times and never been asked that, though I’m happy for you to check my bags now and then when I leave the fitting rooms’. She then said ‘I’m the duty manager and they’re not my rules, but you’ll follow them’. I said to her there was no need to be so rude and that I wasn’t trying to cause a problem, but had never been asked to leave personal items before. She then looked again disgustingly at the two girls behind the counter and said ‘which one of you is coming with me’ - they had no idea what she was talking about and she proceeded to be incredibly rude to them both. The young girl then let me know I wasn’t required to leave my personal belongings at the counter, unless they were Kmart bags. I turned to Laura and said ‘well, are they the rules?’ And she said ‘if she says they are’.nnI feel incredibly sorry for the team at Cranbourne Kmart to be working under such a rude person, who frankly seemed miserable. Hopefully she improves her attitude and approach to her job, because I wouldn’t be letting my children work around someone like her.
Lately, I’ve noticed many items at Kmart being out of stock. For electronics, Target Cranbourne seems to be a better option. Finding staff for assistance here can be challenging—some have been very helpful, while others not so much. A bit of a mixed experience overall.
I politely asked the lady at the front if I could leave my items with her and come back in 10 minutes to purchase as the queue was massive and I was in a rush. She was very rude and abruptly said “I can’t keep an eye on them and can’t guarantee they’ll still be here” I said I would only be a couple of minutes and she turned her back and huffed at me. Never mind lady! I’ll go to carrum downs Kmart where they are friendly from now on!
I asked politely for the lady at the door to unlock a trolly for me which she said she couldn’t and I needed a coin. Quite odd as I’ve never had a problem anywhere else when shopping when I’ve asked! Who carries a coin these days too! Went to Target instead and the unlocked one straight away so spent my money there.
Bought this online and when I opened it up, the box was open and had missing tools on the inside
