Story

Situated in the Spring Garden World complex on Spring Street, Kingfisher Café & Restaurant has some of Toowoomba’s most spectacular garden views. The food created by the internationally trained chefs is equally sensational for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.

Open every day of the week with a stylish yet cosy indoor restaurant and al fresco area (including children’s playground), to enjoy the beautifully crafted menu and wine list , that share a close relationship with seasons and change accordingly. The emphasis is on fresh produce grown by local producers. The wine list includes a great choice of Australian and imported wines, both current and older vintages.

Kingfisher Café & Restaurant is the perfect location for any special event. With its garden elegance, the venue offers a bright space that is comfortable yet stylish, the perfect setting for high-level meetings and events. Lovely Café within the Springs Nursery, the staff were very friendly and professional. The food choices were great. The seating ranged inside and outdoors with terrace and grassed areas available. Beautiful gardens surrounded the Café and a children's play area adjacent to the tables . Great place to eat.
I have coming to this cafe for years, unfortunately in the last 12months the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly. Ordered a steak sandwich photo, bun was soggy and was more bread than anything else the salad was so thin it looked as though it had been sliced with a mandolin. Must say the onion rings were nice though.
Perfect place if you would like it to feel like a full meal in a garden. 10/10 atmosphere. I had the pork belly and it was wonderful! Can't speak towards the other food items.
Kingfishers Cafe is a perfect place to enjoy any event! The atmosphere and scenery of their gardens is just beautiful and so relaxing. The staff were helpful, kind and went above and beyond for our guests to ensure our dining experience was perfect. They provided extra umbrellas for shade, enough tables for what we needed for our event. They didn’t mind us turning up early to set up our balloon garland and decor. We had delicious sandwiches, cold/ hot canapés and gourmet desserts. The food package was well priced with five star service. They catered for gluten and dairy free. In hindsight I would have preferred a drinks package with barista made coffee over a tea & coffee station however it was something I overlooked. We had the most wonderful time and would highly recommend this venue for any occasion. Thank you so much to all your incredible staff, barista’s and chefs. Only one thing for booking an event, check in advance about extra costs regarding cake charge and tablecloths as it was something that was not discussed at booking.
Sadly I believe that last Saturday is the last time I will go to this establishment. We 3 people were not advised upon arriving that there would be an extended wait. Had we been advised that there was a significant wait we could have made a decision as to whether we were happy to wait. We would have been able to make a decision as to whether we would wait until the food is delivered or whether we did not have the time to spend waiting in this restaurant as we were not advised of any extended wait time.
