Nice, fluffy giant buns with pork filling $2.20 each, great for a meal on the go. They also have a smorgasbord of hot foods cafeteria-style that you can eat in or takeaway, plus a main menu.
Had lunch here today, staff serving us were nice enough but the food is lacking. There were lot of shouting from the kitchen, not sure if they were arguing or if that is just they way they talk, anyways it was slightly awkward for us sitting there listening. I ordered green pepper with shredded pork, this is a well known chinese dish, it should be primarily dry stir-fry shredded pork and green pepper green capsicum, but this place cooks it with 'shredded' bamboo shots, shredded pork and capsicum and lots of sauce, almost soup like. There were no stir-fry wok taste in the dish, the amount of capsicum is dismal, the shredded pork is bland as it is drowned in soup, and it feels like they use shredded bamboo shot as filler to make up the for the lack of capsicum. A quick google search on 'green pepper with shredded pork' will show you what it should have looked like. The positive thing is that its cheap, under $13. Very disappointed with my order.
This place also makes pork buns, and sells them in packs of 4, throughout selected groceries stores, where I managed to locate one and bought a pack. It was the worst pork buns , I have ever tasted. It was tasteless, doughy, and hard. The filling itself was mince whatever in a small lump, which was encased with the dough. When I called the number on the package, no one spoke English or pretended not to Understand English. So, the next best thing is to write a review, to earn customers " Buyer's beware!"
I love this little place. Fantastic food. Extremely tasty. Servers are extremely nice and helpful. Helped us out on what to order. Try anything.. You won't be disappointed. Standouts: Signature Braised Pork My brother in law said it was like "butter.", Fried Barramundi with Sweet n Sour Sauce, Eggplant both Fried and Sweet and Sour Eggplant Hotpot, Pan fried Pork Dumplings. Ok so we enjoyed everything. The Seaweed with garlic. Shanghai Noodles! Any of the noodles are soooo good. We'll be back. Thank you. Yum. And your chill paste is fantastic. Love the Szechuan pepper in it!!!
FOOD POISONING, STOMACH ACHE Very tasty and authentic taste of Chinese food for a good price. However, they keep using old/frozen ingredients that make my stomach hurt and need to go to bathroom immediately for many times. The quality of ingredients or the hygiene of the restaurant was not good at all, be careful if you have week stomach.
Absolutely disgusting and unhygienic! I ordered their xiao long baos and the pork had some sandy textured granulars inside. I had a look and it looked like pepper but there was no pepper taste... When I went home, I got a stomach ache. Taste-wise it was overly and artifically sweet. Never going back!
They advertised the pork buns for $1.20 at their parramatta location. I went early in the morning and their said there won’t be any buns until 9th January. You should place a sign if there is no stock. Misleading advertising.
A fantastic place to get some jumbo pork buns! They are piping hot and freshly made in house. Buy 10 and you get can get one extra bun for free. There are other speciality snacks to choose from. They just moved to their new premise, so the dining environment is quite clean.
We keep coming back for this dish. Mixed Dry Hot Pot. Lotus root, pork chop, squid and fish fillets all shallow or deep-fried soak up the numbing Sichuan peppercorn flavours, with plenty of salt, white pepper and black bean sauce. The blend of spices unite like stones on the Infinity Gauntlet to drop a seismic UMAMI bomb. Big chunks of onion and shallots add to the sizzle in your mouth. So damn tasty. Yum! We have eaten this on weekends, twice at night and once for lunch. For me, the night one is better less black bean sauce and arguably larger serving. White rice is a must. Thank you
Fantastic fresh dumplings. I had the steamed, pan fried and pork buns. I just bring my own sweet chili sauce.
