Amazing Food with a View! Took my mother recently, who is in a wheelchair and they accommodated in every way to make a great experience on the patio. The German beers recommended were excellent and the food was divine. I had to try the sauerkraut, as haven't had that in awhile. WOW Recommend with every meal on the side. I threw it in with the medallions we ordered. Mom's potato soup had lots of goodies in it, which the flavor and presentation to LIVE for so we could have it again. DEFINITELY taking my partner back next time that way. A special day for us and this restaurant experience topped the Maleny Gardens off we went to see! Thank you to Claus the cook and I believe it was Barbara our German waitress.

I've known Klaus and Barbara for 30 years. They have kept their high standards: food, service, atmosphere, presentation, location. Barbara is always engaging customers with her friendly personality. The whole team is always very inviting. We'll be back on 21st March when they reopen. 🇩🇪

The food here is quite expensive however the taste is really delicious so the price is worth it. The pork is crispy and the meat is really soft it's a perfectly seasoned recommended. The German beer is probably the best in Maleny fresh and and goes superbly well with a sausages. Everyone was friendly great place to hang out with friends or family love the atmosphere here typical German place.

TLDR: Eat super delicious food while gazing upon a spectacular view. I was so naive; I ordered an entree! Yes, it was the most delicious pumpkin soup I have ever had, but I could not finish my main! I was heartbroken! Utterly heartbroken. Have I learnt my lesson? No. Would totally do it again. The view is spectacular and in winter time they have a pile of woolly blankets you can cuddle yourself in as you try to eat far more than humanly possible. They also have a wide selection of beers and such, if you are into that, not so much selection if you are not. (I did get my juice in a very fancy glass though, so bonus points for being a little posh).

It was another smashing lunch at K.L. rest. Good food, excellent service, pleasant surroundings, great views. Worth the drive, despite the weather.
