Every big city has many squares scattered throughout. Brisbane has its share as well and this one is a nice spot to hang out and have your lunch or coffee.
This place comes alive around Christmas time. The beautiful light show was colourful and intresting and I highly recommend bringing the family to watch the show. On an average day commute, it tends to be alive with the hustle and bustle of city life with people traversing to work. On occasions street buskers and performers gleefully perform for the crowds.
Visited King George Square for Festival of Chariots,Rathayathra The place at Town Hall Brisbane. Enjoyed the function.
lovely for tourists around christmas time I must say
I would highly recommend to visit here in December for City Hall Lights every year. That is a must to do in Brisbane, I believe.
My first summer Christmas in Australia!
Large square in the centre of Brisbane, near many tourist places.
Korean festival ~ Beautiful K-art MINHWA
King George Square change over year and I go have my lunch there and not far from Queen Street Mall just cross over the street to Adelaide Street and great place go there and beautiful old building of City Hall with big clock I like that.
Throughout the week you can normally find free activities, markets, food trucks, or events on here. Plus there is a giant screen TV and plenty of space to sit out in the open and soak in some rays!
