If you are looking for the passionate and committed Pilates teachers, this place is for you. Both Kim and Nadia are exceptionally qualified and experienced teaches. I am sure the founder of this method would be proud of this studio! Spacious and renovated it has enough variety of equipment to train every single body type. It is worthwhile taking personal classes to assess your posture/alignment and then continue on with the group classes. The variety of the exercise as well as genuine care of the teachers for each individual student really motivates you to continue the training! I came to the studio to work on my alignment and shoulder pain, and I can definitely feel and see the improvements already after 2 months of regular classes. The price is within a standard price range for Pilates studios but the classes are worth every dollar. You will definitely get served a well prepared gourmet class rather than another fast-food style class from another quick chain.
I can't speak highly enough of The Pilates Studio. Kim has an amazing knowledge. Her ability to notice, explain and gently correct your posture and movement shows a deep insight into the mechanics of the human body. Classes at the Studio are small and person centred. I have attended other Pilates classes before and there is no comparison with what is offered at this Studio. Don't think all Pilates classes are the same. They aren't. Do your research and if you are looking for highly skilled and specialised teaching then you will not find anything better than The Pilates Studio Blackwood.
Pilates Is a highlight of my week and Kim seems to have endless knowledge to draw from. Back pain is becoming a distant memory.
Absolutely first class. Wonderful place. Clean and always welcoming. I go here once a week to a class and this is the only exercise I need. If you feel pilates is just a "simple" stretching thing the classes here will prove very humbling. Great mat work, reformer, towers etc. Completely replaces any need to go to a gym. Kim, the studio owner, is a superb teacher. Clear and open, demonstrates the exercise when needed, gives helpful tips to make your practice improve and so that you get the most out of the time. Also makes it fun and light-hearted when required.
Kim is an incredible instructor, she explains each movement in detail and why it benefits your body. The equipment is maintained at the highest standard and the studio is always clean. I highly recommend Kim at The Pilates Studio Blackwood.
I have been coming to the studio for over 5 years now. Kim and Nadia are just so knowledgeable and inspiring. The classes are always fun, yet challenging. It’s safe to say I’m addictive to Pilates now. If you want small classes in a gorgeous studio, you must try. Your body and your mind will thank you
A one on one session with Kim is an absolute treat for body and mind. Graceful Kim always creates an endlessly insightful and perfectly tailored session for your needs. She is inspiring and always encouraging. When I leave her and her awesome equipment I am recharged, realigned and surely taller. I am hooked! Glenys
