Stopped in for a quick bite with the daughter before starting the day. Egg and bacons on point, tasty with a yummy relish. Coffee hit the spot and the service accompanying both was lovely. Great little corner shop - the locals are very lucky.
Cute little corner shop with ready-made food, hot and cold drinks. A great selection of eclectic grocery items worth checking out. Staff very friendly and willing to serve and answer questions. We bought Pepe Saya butter and lemon curd, and pancake mix … turned out well for a Sunday breakfast. Drinks were fine, but for my personal taste the chai was a bit watery. Worth the visit for the groceries.
Second Worst almond latte i ever tasted in my life. I'm local and always wanted to give it a go to this place, first time in my life i saw a barista extracting coffee into the steam jug and pouring milk on top and steaming it. Break every law of coffee making or maybe they don't know how to brew. When people spend nearly 7 dollars on a cup of coffee they deserve a decent drink.
Massive hipster decor but so what it's really nice. The staff here are very friendly and the food is delish. I always go for the chicken salad sarnie or tuna melt, I haven't tried any other food here so can't comment. The desserts always seem overpriced, but this place would have more hipsters in it than a turtleneck warehouse if it was in Northcote. The coffee is fine but it's the vibes that bring you back.
I regularly visit Kilgour St Grocer with friends for brunch and coffees as it's a local and consistently reliable spot for good quality meals. Nice atmosphere, trendy aesthetic and vibes in a nice location. Always handy for parking if you’re not walking there.nnGreat coffee and yummy meals, with quite a good selection of vegan options all at affordable prices. Can be slightly slow in service if the place is busy but this would be expected.nnWorth a stop if you’re in the area, particularly if you’re after vego/vegan meals.
