Pros: Great at making more problems Extremely good at upsales. Cons: Poor customer service. Unknowledgeable parts department. Extremely poor mechanical workmanship I’ve too many horror stories from this circus to tell there’s not enough room in this review to list them all down. Hey Mr Kerry I’d like to take my vehicle there for more warranty work but I’m too scared now my car might catch on fire or worse my motor drop out from their mounts.
Booked in for a service as my check engine light came on and asked for quote to get my door window fixed. Ended up being billed $170 for the quote to fix the door and didn't receive a call to get the door fixed so it remained unsolved. When I got my car back the check engine light was still on, was told they can charge me $170 to run the diagnostic and provide quote to resolve the check engine light, however I would need to rebook and couldn't get my car in for 2 weeks.. I ended up getting refunded for the door as I wasn't told the quote would cost me anything. Really poor customer service, communication and support.
Absolutely chaotic, unprofessional and a rip off. Paid $225 to be told they could not diagnose the issue with the key. My 10yr grandson was more helpful
Just to give you an idea on their customer service. It's a long story that lasted over 6months but worth the read to give you an idea what you may run into. Took my car in for service mentioned a couple of faults that should of been covered by warranty. Said they would call me back "next week ". I waited two months then called them back asking to speak to the guy that was in charge of my service and claim, each time recipiention would say the person in charge will call me back. I rang 6 times over 4 weeks, told recipiention I haven't heard anything, he finally calls me back after that. Service guy in charge of my car said he was waiting on the insurance company for a response for the warranty claims. I called the insurance company, it was approved for repair the day after my car was serviced. They mentioned one fault wasn't covered and I'd have to pay for myself, this was fine. Finally take my car in and they fixed one fault under warranty, charged me 1.3k for the second fault. They then tell me the part I paid for wasn't actually the faulty component. They said they'd call me "next week" when the part arrives. They want me to pay another $450+ Labor for the second fault. Fast forward another 3 months, no response from Holden service department. No calls no email nothing. I decided to fix it myself took me 20mins and a $70 switch from the wreckers. Never taking my cars back here...
DONOT go to this dealer for a service avoid at all cost had car serviced, when we rang for a quote said 550.00 on pick up 750.00 absolutely disgusting. So we called 3 other dealers 2 in vic 1 in Perth ranged from 330 to 440 how can they be So much moremore?
Had a banging noise coming from R/H front of vehicle when I went over bumps, thought it may be steer rubber or something along that line that had let go my car Holden Colorado 2018, contacted Holden and booked in for repair on a Wednesday all good, received a phone call back late Wednesday arvo saying it was the R/H shock absorber, will need to book in for repair on the following Monday, not happy at all took them all day Wednesday to figure out that my shock absorber was defective, a simple thing to do would of been to let me know that when booking in for repair under warranty we first need to diagnose fault, then arrange a repair time would of been better customer service, left the car with them as I did not want to drive it, Monday finally comes around I decide to contact them to see how my car was going on repairs, was then told that maybe not able to get repaired Today, enough is enough told them I would be in to pick car up don’t touch it, Kerry Holden you have disappointed me beyond words, every Holden I have owned I have given to you to service and repair at my own cost believing to stay a loyal Holden Customer. Well it ENDS NOW. never again will I come to you and never again will I purchase another car from your business. You no longer care now Holden’s are finished you have washed your hands on a great piece of Australian history. You disgust me.
Have had to take my Holden in on several occasions for Warranty issues within first 4 years of owning Colorado. Rang to book in for new issue diagnosed from mechanic which is warranty issue and told have to have Kerrys diagnose for a day and then book in another day to fix the issue. This is after having to take my car in 4 times last time to fix previous issues. Never buying Holden or through Kerry's again.
I have a Holden Cruze which is waiting for gearbox replacement and it’s covered by warranty. During this situation in Australia I can totally understand it will be slow down a little bit of delivering part from other states warehouse. I just called to customer service for asking whether the part has been dispatched or not, then I had been pushing between two departments several times during the call. Finally when I talked to customer service about my car details. She refused to help me and hang up the phone straight away. Is it the way that Kerrys team treated the customer? No listening no asking! At least the part department had checked something by the registration. I couldn’t get anything from customer service. What’s a disgusting service!
Sadly Holden is disappearing. You can feel it when you bring your car for Service. You would think they reduced the cost if they can't find the problem. Spend over $1000 to get a Sensor Fixed. Very disappointed Kerry Holden. That makes me think, is it going to be the same Service for the other Brands you are selling? Got 2 brand new Holden in the past and that's the Service I recieved. I think my next Car won't be from Kerry!!!
Went in to get my rear left hand window looked at as it was stuck half way down the door. Was given a general quote over the phone at a price range around $350 including parts and labor and told the job should be able to be done in a day. Rocked up on the day they asked, early as they requested, but they had no idea who I was or when I was booked in for and had to 'hunt around' for my paper work. Minor inconvenience, that was ok. Was told it wouldn't be ready until about 2 o'clock, that's fine. Whent home, got a call back at about 11 saying that it was ready to be picked up. "You beaut", I thought, asked them how much I owe them, which is when things started to go south. $176 for a consultancy.... I didn't ask for a consultancy, I asked to have my window fixed... On top of that "we can book your car in for another day to fit the part that you need" another $176 for labor + $320 for the part that i needed... Total: $672 An extra $322 from what I was previously quoted and I would have to take another day off work to get it booked in... I felt ripped off, but knew better than to argue with them as they clearly have no communication between their staff members and I didn't want to blast someone who's just clueless about the situation. Moreover, they where hesitant to give me the paper work that outlined which part was required and how much it would cost, though they did hand it over after I insisted. After looking at the paper work, I found more inconsistencies. 1st of all, it said that the date and time promised was 5.50pm, which it wasn't the case, I was promised 2pm 2ndly, the part they wanted to charge me $320 for I found online for $140 And lastly, the part that they wanted to order was for the rear right hand side when it was required for the rear left hand side. You bodged up which part was needed, wanted to charge me for an extra day and lied on your paper work . I already thought that your labor costs where abit high, which wouldn't be a big deal if you gave a high quality service, but you dont. You have poor communication skills between your employees and your customers which ultimately ends up with the customer paying top dollar for a service that they didn't ask for.
