fantastic tasting books and building, although during my stay some dude called LiverMan made all the books come to life and now i have voldemort and darth vader chasing me and i can escape them, but on the other hand i am now a sith lord/jedi/demigod/wizard/demon and am being shunned by society, 10/10 best library ever, feels so real
The staff here are super rude and unnecessarily aggressive towards community members. Due to covid you have to check in and show them the screen on your way in, which is totally fine. I did this, holding up the check-in screen as I walked in, although the person checking outside wasn't looking. A staff member then came to where I'd sat and not only misgendered me by calling me "sir", but also quite aggressively told me I'd just walked in without showing my check-in and demanding to see it, and then insisting I was wrong when I told them I'd been displaying it as I walked by and they just weren't looking - even though as soon as I unlocked my phone to show them the screen was still right there. In hindsight it might have been two different staff members but the way they approached it and spoke to me was still really poor form, especially when customer service is literally their job.
This place is wonderful. Every time i go there it is so quite and all the library staff are so helpful and caring. Also the system is so useful and simple. This place deserves a 5 star rating.
This is probably the best local library in Queensland. The staff are amazingly well trained and very attentive. They are particularly helpful with special requests and their meeting rooms are always active with speakers and special interest groups. Parking is relatively easy. It is such an essential centre for the western suburbs community. It draws people in and has a number of quiet options for individual activities. As a regular user my only reservation is the overhead computer system. It's old technology and the podium screen needs updating to display the screen behind you. Wonderful place to be particularly with the airconditioning on a hot day.
Such a great library. Brilliant staff. I would not have survived lockdown without it!
Wonderful library with very friendly staff and lots of events!
Beautiful library and really helpful staff. I'm sitting at the library and working. There is a group of school kids sitting in my proximity and playing a shooting game on the play station. I really cannot get my head around why library supports violence.... And recently, in the little kids section, there were some kids playing some Star Wars game on the library computers. What is the purpose of library allowing it? What is the educational goal here?
