The library at UQ St Lucia Campus is undeniably one of the most popular spots among students, and for good reason. Open 24/7 and conveniently located near the bus station, it draws a diverse crowd from various fields of study, despite being labeled as the Biological Science library. Inside, the environment is consistently modern and user-friendly, making it an inviting space for students to focus on their academic pursuits.nnOne notable aspect that sets this library apart is its exceptional cleanliness, especially when compared to the Central Building. The well-maintained restrooms are a testament to the library's commitment to providing a comfortable studying experience.nnMoreover, it's the only library on campus that offers designated sleeping spaces. While the idea is commendable, the actual experience can be somewhat challenging. I had the opportunity to try it once, and it turned into a nightmarish ordeal. The comfort level could use some improvement.nnIn summary, this library's popularity, convenience, cleanliness, and 24/7 accessibility make it a standout choice for students. However, improvements to the sleeping area could elevate the overall experience.
One of my go to libraries on campus. I’m pretty sure it’s open every single day of the year, 24 hours. The security guards are always super nice and friendly. The AC is always at a good level. Kitchen facilities if you wanted to bring your own food, but Darwin’s and Burger Urge just downstairs if you wanted to buy some stuff. Printing facilities and of course toilet facilities inc maternity toilets too. Top level is the self study silent zone, floor below it is the loud group study, large table areas, floor below there are a lot of computers for students, and ground floor is just general. Nearly all floors have meeting rooms too, which you can book out :
BSL is one of the most strategic library located very close to the bus stop. It provides lots of built-in PCs, printers, and comfy atmosphere as study spaces.nnThis library has spacious elevator and not so high stairs I mean, the stairs are knee-friendly. Besides of that, BSL is quite wheel-chair friendly, and baby-friendly It provides nappy change room at the first floor.nnWhen you come in through the main entrance, you might see built-in PCs at your right side and the stairs just right in front of you eyes. Just have some steps to go left to find the elevator, the nappy change room, vending machine, and printing spots. If nature calls, they are after the elevator. Did I say this library has a coffee shop? Go for it.nnHope it helps.
One of my favourite spaces on campus, I am especially fond of the study rooms here - so hard to get a booking but when you do its fantastic! Can seat heaps of people! Lovely atmosphere for studying
