Beautiful camping spot! We had a great weekend. The place is very clean and super green, the toilets were quite good for a long weekend and the walk is long and steep but not difficult almost 10km. You can set fire if you want or need it.
Beautiful, clean and easy campsite and track. Descending the mountain was easy but coming back was pretty hard so we had to take rests between every 1.5km when ascending. The toilets were clean and the campsites were seperated. There was also a variety of animals. So I strongly recommend this activity to all of you.
Hiked down from kedumba gate. It was quite challenging with some really steep descents but you never leave the road so it's got a mixture of covered roads and gravel road. The campsite is well maintained with fire pits and benches. Beware the blood sucking horse flies! We also had to contend with thousands of flying insects the whole night.
Situated in a wide grassy area next to the Kedumba River, this walk-in campground is ideal for self-sufficient campers. Once part of the pioneering Maxwell Farm, Kedumba River Crossing campground lies in the heart of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.
Amazing location. Isolated and sparse. Park at the locked gate on Kedumba Rd. The walk is 9km down a dirt road. It took me 2hrs to walk down and 2hrs 30min to walk up with a 10-12kg pack. I was walking quickly with no stops. It’s a easy stroll down but a gruelling walk back up. There are toilets and river water that needs to be boiled. Lots of wildlife and many spots to pitch a tent.
Excellent campground with hike entry only. Took us 2 hrs 45 min to hike down the fire trail. Moderately steep at parts, there are a couple of nice vistas and points of interests along the trail. The views really open up at the valley with the occasional sight of wallabies. We had plenty of water after filling up using a filter at a flowing section of river near the camp ground. Recommend those who are starting out backpacking.
Accessible on foot only enter via the W gate on Tablelands Rd. 18ks return with a steep 7k ascent on return. If you're fit, it is definitely worth the trip. A gorgeous valley and campground by a river with abundant bird life, wallabies, kangaroos and if you're lucky you might see a brumby. Windy loo toilet on site and another being built. Today was the busiest we've ever seen Kedumba with over 20 tents. Tread lightly folks. This place is precious.
First class camping ground. Brand new drop toilet block. Immaculate grounds that were superbly maintained. Uncrowded thanks to need to hike in and out. Thoroughly recommend.
A wonderful tranquil camp ground. There is a basic camp toilet and there is even toilet paper provided! The water from the river is safe to drink after you have purified it. Camp fires are allows at this site and there are plenty of fire pits. It is a great camp site to relax after a hard day on the trail.
Nice campground with fire facilities. Nice spot to see the kangaroos and wallabies. Some heritage sites not too far, see photos. Drop toilet also on site. There is also a stream nearby. Be prepared to take your trash with you.
