Great campground and lovely river swimming, nice and quiet, probably good to have a 4xx for the drive in, however total fire ban for campsite year round so that's a bit of a bummer and cannot camp next to/in car do be aware of this.

This campground is clean, including toilet, rain water tank, and a shelter. It's a good place for walkers but not suitable for 4WDs and trailers. The car park is very small and the campground itself cannot be accessed by a car due to a locked gate. The campground is located in a Reserve on 17 km of the historic Six Foot Track, with abundance of wild fauna and flora. To avoid habitat damage, fires and dogs are not permitted (penalties apply). Additionally, there is a high risk of wildfire, so bringing your own camping stove is essential. There are no bins available either.

Drove in expecting to have to carry gear some distance from the car. The road in is pretty bad, definitely a 4WD track. Driving into the campground was met with heaps of signs warning of private property and surveillance cameras in the area. When we got there the campsite was strewn with rubbish, chip packets, empty cans. There is a stock yard for one of the private properties immediately adjacent to and visible from the campsite. None of the reviews here mentioned the High Voltage powerlines near the camp site, which while not easily visible from the camp ground are not something I like to camp near. Perhaps the campsite is not usually this dirty, but I can't understand why none of the reviews here mention any of the other items. This isn't the wilderness, it isn't even attractive. It was getting late, but my wife and I were pretty disgusted with this site, so we decided to drive the hour or so to Katoomba and get a hotel room.
