I had a really positive experience here today...I rang yesterday, spoke to a nurse about my daughter who had been very sick all week and they fit us in this morning at their respiratory clinic. We saw the most lovely, kind nurse first, who took vitals and did a Covid test, then saw a fantastic doctor. He didn't rush us, listened to everything carefully and was really friendly. I wish I knew both the nurse and doctor's names, as I'd definitely give them a shout-out! ::
Horrible service! I had booked an appointment with Louise Reiche who was over half an hour late. She had the wrong patient with her and didn't realize it until I walked in to see what's taking so long. She was then rude and hadn't read any of my notes on file, as she didn't ask to look at what I came for but instead told me to get undressed into my underwear. I went to get an analysis for my face so didn't understand why this was directed! She then spoke to me in a condescending manner when I asked questions about my skin treatment options. On top of all this once I left, drove for an hour home to pick up my prescription the prescription had been cancelled! She was not just the worst DR appointment I went to but the worst OVERALL
Considering the shortage of medical staff Kauri is normally pretty good. Where possible I just email my Dr on the my indici app and where possible he'll do a referral, or do a short phone consult. Compared to other practices in the Manawatu Kauri is really good and a big thumbs up to the staff who work under very trying conditions.
Bit skeptical based on reviews and not having had a gp since I was a kid, but I was very pleasantly surprised. From doctors, nurses to the receptionist, couldnt fault it. All prompt, friendly, pain free and accommodating.
If I could give 0 stars to Louise Reiche I would; one star is much to generous for the absolute awful experience I had with her. Then when I complained she responded that my concerns were not valid and additionally to this placed blame on me for having too many questions or comprehension issues. Just wow
Had a phone triage with a nurse - baby was sick, struggling to breathe, grunting in pain and just lying there usually super active. Was told he had to be seen urgently that day, but they couldn’t see him so needed to call City Doctors. Not unusual to wait in excess of 3 months for an appointment. Absolutely love our doctor but never get to see him - he’s the only reason still with the practice.
Although the doctors are very helpful, I have noticed that the nurse have become increasingly rude. It is a shame to see this happen as I have been going to Kauri for a long time but now, I will have to look at other options.
Absolutely appalling service. Took months to get an appointment then it was cancelled and I was still charged. They are only there to make money and don't care one bit.
My wife & I went to register with Kauri Healthcare yesterday and were pleasantly surprised by the very kind & polite man who welcomed us at reception. Nothing was too much trouble for him and all went very smoothly resulting in a quick response today informing us that we had been accepted by this medical centre.
This is the worst Doctor service ever! When you actually get to see a doctor, they do their job well, but I struggle to get to see a doctor. I'm an asthmatic and should be having an appointment with a doctor to review meds, etc. Thats not to mention any other times I may need to see them. My last appointment I had book a MONTH in advance. Then on the day the doctor was sick so had to be rescheduled to an afternoon appointment. That doctor went home early, so my appointment when ahead with a nurse. I required a follow up appointment - to see a Doctor Which also got cancelled due to doctors not being available. Now my follow up appointment is just over one month since the nurse saw me. Must say, not impressed. We need a better GP service. Especially during a pandemic!
