Came here at 11am on a Saturday and man it was hectic! The staff was moving at lightning speed to deliver a mega order, 2 boxes full of the wraps, all I can see is generous portions of salad and meat served onto Turkish bread and wrapped up Like their livelihoods depended on it. We ordered the Adana plate, lamb Shish plate, Samsun pide and egg and cheese pide. Boy the life’s were made fresh and they were piping hot, thin pastries and plenty of filling. The plates were value for money, plenty of food, the salads are great, the dips are spectacular and the meats are carve or chargrilled fresh. This is truly an institution not to be missed in Campbellfield.
Updating my review from below but I won’t change the rating stars …nnI don’t like the Adana as I got 2 more times after my original review and Adana not cooked through middle is pink.nAlso everything smells like the lamb shawrma I think the ladies serving don’t change or wash hand / gloves … like the salad and dips all smelt like the lamb shawrmA which is kinda turn off …nnI thought it was one time only but happened this smell issue on 3 occasions after my original below good review ….nnI learnt about this place from YouTube review vloggers the Islander guy and his Turkish mate I don’t know the name of Chanel or anything anyway the food was sooooo goodnnThe dips were amazeballsnThe portion sizes was excellentnThey were quicknCleannAnd price was great and really reasonablennI guess one downer is the fact they don’t have many sitting areas to sit but again I mean it is supposedly a take away but I felt I was sitting on hard chars and tables only down side but I’m still rating this place 5/5 nnParking was a nightmare though
60 + countries and all around Turkey and this is by far THE BEST KEBAB I've ever had! So much flavor, Hummus was great, the pita, WOW.. Some guy said he drove an hour I can't even hate, it's that good! We went after picking up our camper at indie camper..Staff is really nice and they know how to run a business. Thanks so much!
@KatikTakeaway was busy on a Friday lunchtime. Just go in and make your way to the counter because the majority of people are waiting for their order, not waiting in line to order. I went with the lamb donor kebab and grabbed a seat at a booth. About 10 minutes later my name is called. A long slender package is given. Unwrapping the foil reveals the kebab. Biting in this has to be the best kebab I've eaten! Delicious fluffy bread encasing tender shaved pieces of lamb oozing flavour and juices, lettuce, and the garlic aoili sauce of course. Flavoursome in every bite right to the end, this is quite an institution in this predominantly industrial area. Awesome filling meal! There is some booth seating and seating outside but is predominantly a takeaway venue.nnAnother visit for lunch @KatikTakeaway for the adana kebab plate with choice of 2 dips, I chose the capsicum dip and eggplant dip. The tender adana kebab is served upon some of the Turkish bread crisped up and it absorbs the juices and is yum. The adana kebab oozes flavour, very tender, a slight hint of chilli, great blend of spices, really hits the spot. I love the two dips with the bread and the salad which helps balance out the meatiness. I had asked for some extra chilli which I thought they would add into the adana kebab but instead they charred a chilli and added it on the side. This is really nice but some bits are pretty fiery!nnWhilst we dined on the adana kebab, also got the following for takeaway:n- Kiymali pide: A very thin bread with a mince meat filling and really deliciousn- Samsun pide: This is a delicious thicker bread enclosing a tasty mince meat mixture.
