It was our first time dining here, and my whole family truly enjoyed every bite, MashaAllah.nnWe ordered the family deal, which turned out to be an absolute hit! The meat was tender and flavourful, and the fresh, hot bread just melted in our mouths. The spices were balanced beautifully — enough to excite the palate without being overpowering.nnIt’s a humble spot in a small strip mall, and while the decor is simple, we came for the food, and the food alone is more than enough reason to return!nnBonus: we received a discount for paying in cash, always a nice touch. Thank you for the warm hospitality and excellent customer service. We’ll definitely be back soon!
We had an amazing dinner at Afghan Kebab in Campbellfield! The mixed platter was absolutely delicious, generous portions of juicy kebabs, tender chicken, and perfectly seasoned rice, all beautifully presented. The sides and sauces especially the yogurt dip complemented everything so well. Fresh salad, warm bread, and the flavoured drink were a nice touch too.nnThe food was authentic, flavourful, and perfect for sharing. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Great spot for a casual group dinner or family meal. Highly recommend if you’re craving Afghan cuisine!
Afghan Kebab Lalor has always been one of my favourite places to eat, but sadly this visit didn’t live up to expectations. Since the Lalor branch closes around 8 o’clock, we chose this branch as our only option. Despite there being 3–4 empty tables, each one was dirty with leftover food and no staff seemed interested in cleaning them for new customers.nnMy family and I ended up sharing a large table with two strangers, which was quite uncomfortable. I went to the counter and politely asked if someone could clean a table for us. The staff member said everyone was busy, but after I insisted, he said he would send someone. Twenty minutes later, nothing had changed, and we were still awkwardly sharing the table.nnI then approached a waitress Indian origin, who genuinely looked like the only person actively working. She immediately cleaned a table for us, and we were finally able to move.nnThe food was okay — I really enjoy Afghan cuisine — but if you believe this place serves the best Afghan food, I’d recommend trying Afghan Kebab Lalor instead.nnA big shout-out to the waitress — she was the only positive part of our visit.
Fantastic range of dishes on the menu. There is a charcoal grill and the bread is spectacular.nStaff are very friendly but not great at explaining the food. I recommend reading the takeaway menu which explains the dishes better.nTheir new premises 2 shops down are spacious and has plenty of tables.nIn my opinion the best Afghan restaurant in the north.
Think twice before you buy and make sure you open order before you leave the store uncooked meat and not what we ordered.
