Great place friendly person great service excellent work man ship very clean place

Well,,very impressed.. I have a Kia Sorento and had to get a new bearing in the diff,Karl had to shop around to find one from China,to New Zealand then finally at Kia in Sydney, had to be freighted down, then fitted!! He took all the time to be in touch with us to let us know what was happening. His price was amazing,1/2 of what we were expecting ,and that included the freight from Sydney... Great  Job Karl, really appreciate it.. Highly Recommend him +++++++

This is an open response to Christo van Niekerk's unfavourable review posted on14 March 2020. I prefice my comments by stating that I am Karl's Dad. So with respect, I was at Karls Differentials when Karl fitted the stated Pinion gear. Never, in my engineering experience, have I seen a hardened and tempered thread such as this, destroy itself in these circumstances. For that matter, Karl has installed hundreds, probably thousands of pinions over 15 years and never experienced this type of damage. Interestingly the replacement Pinion thread did not strip whilst being installed in the exact same manner. I personally question the manufacturing quality of the original pinion. The issue of pinion damage and incorrect gears is partly the result of the customer supplying parts rather than engageing a person with knowledge and experience to purchase the correct quality gears sets. In addition the parts would have been covered by manufacturer and installers warranty. The reference to "constant calls for instructions" were nothing more than repeated requests by Karl for the manufacturers installation instructions, which would have been provided with the new Air Locker purchased by the customer. These requests were unrelated to the gear set, and once again clearly created confusion due to the customer purchasing the parts. The oil leak was definately a warranty issue which Karl agreed to repair, however this offer was rejected by the customer. Yes the vehicle was with Karl for 3 months which included delays waiting for the customer to purchase parts, and a period whereby the vehicle was unable to be picked up due the customers personal circumstances. Karl has operated as "Karls Differentials Services" for 15 years. He has exceptional knowledge and skills with respect to Diff repairs, and is well respected within the industry both in Victoria and interstate. Karl has always, and continues to address his workmanship and all warranty issues in a professional and reasonable manner. Dare I say there is always two sides to a story. Neil Wood.
