Located right on Yarra River Reserve near Como Landing in Como North Park and overlooking Herring Island, Kanteen is a great place to stop for a drink and a bite during a walk or bike ride along the Yarra. However, the coffee is just average and while the food is good (great muffins) it's not cheap but the ambiance is great. A very relaxing place with nice views. The staff is super friendly however we found the service a bit slow.

Great cafe with excellent ambience (right on the water). Staff are fantastic - when my friend hurt his ankle in soccer they really helped out and gave him an icy pole to ice it because they didn't carry ice :) They go above and beyond here. It is a perfect planned stop for a bike ride along the Yarra too!

Nice view of the river. I enjoy walking here from my place on the weekends. Varied menu. When it's busy service can be slow but it's alright when the weather is nice and you can watch the river and active crowd walking or rowing past. Lots of delish treats to take away.

Ambience and views fantastic. Good coffee and service. Highly recommended.

Great location on a sunny day. Plenty of seating available inside and out. Food is decent although a little pricey
