Just as I come to except of Melbourne cafes, an atmosphere & ambience you can't really put into words. It's just a feeling I get which feeds my imagination. Coffee great, food great, everything, great... A little bit on the pricey side but so worth it.

1 Star seems too generous. We left so disappointed and hungry. First the air con was leaking water from the roof onto our table. Then the waitress really struggled understanding our order due to her English skills. When our order came my lasagna was stone cold and my husbands burger was raw and missing avocado. The icing on the cake was when we complained to the waitress there was not only no apology but when she told the manager he was sitting 10feet from us and didn’t even acknowledge us. We left to eat somewhere else.

I don’t like to whinge, but I feel this needs to be said. The proprietors of Urban Provedore need to make a decision - do they want to have a restaurant worth going to or not? On all the standard measures of what makes one want to return to a cafe, they have failed. The service was unusually slow. Which may have been forgiven if it meant they were producing something extra special, sadly it was the opposite. In fact it appears that the quality of food here is inversely proportional to the time one is forced to wait to receive it. Lift your game or just give up. Regards

Just left this place to go elsewhere around the corner. We arrived and stood awkwardly in the entry way for 5 minutes, while every single member of staff walked past us without greeting or seating us. I eventually approached the counter and asked if we should seat ourselves and was told to find a seat and they would come to us. They never did. We sat at a dirty table for 10 minutes, after no one had come to clear it, give us menus or take our coffee order, we left. Highly recommend Two Birds One Stone instead for a great feed and prompt, friendly service!

Had a terrible experience here for lunch. The service was non-existent really, we got a menu and sat ourselves. Our server came to take our order and bring the food and we never saw her again. Had the beef burger and the calamari. Burger was edible at best, very bland with only tomato, lettuce, mayo and onions. We said yes when the server asked if we wanted it medium rare but came out well done. The calamari was very very disappointing. Very tough and rubbery, and the $19 calamari dish came with exactly 6 rings of calamari on a bed of chopped lettuce with tomato, red onion and feta. It was so bad neither of us would eat it. Despite not being the kind of people who like to complain when something is bad, we would have let the server know - if she had bothered to come back to our table at all. So when we went to pay we let the woman at the counter know that we were very disappointed in our meal and that we didn't eat the calamari dish because it was not very good. She proceeded to tell us that she loves the calamari and that it was fresh. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had in a while, and would tell anyone to avoid it. There are tons of places nearby that are heaps better. The only thing tasty thing in the whole meal was the fries. Drugstore across the street is a really great cafe, just go there.
