One of the many souvlaki Greek places in Oakleigh. Ordering is done at the counter and you assume an empty seat in the restaurant. Information on what is included in the platter is limited and not shown on the chalk board menu. The platter includes the meat of choice, a few slices of tomato and fresh onions, hot chips, pita bread and a sauce of your choice. We ordered the mince lamb and the pork gyros. The mince lamb was unfortunately quite dry on the day but did have some nice spices. The pork was also on the drier side as well. The chips were nicely fried and the highlight of the platter. The eggplant sauce had a nice eggplant flavour. The salad was a disappointment with wilted tomato's being served.nnOverall an average Greek experience both in service and food.
Amazing food! This has probably been the best Greek food I’ve had. My first time having pork Souvlaki and wow! Souvlaki, skewers, chips…all delicious. I was originally a bit discouraged because parking around the area was tough but after having the food I’ll definitely be back.
Found it online and decided to give it a go. Went for lunch and it didn’t seems that busy. They had sitting in door and out door. Nice to site outside during summer. The setting of the restaurant was quite interesting. Seemed like an old school restaurant. Simply walk in and grab a seat wherever you like that’s what we were told to do and order at the front when ready. The menu was small and simple. We ordered the chicken souvlaki the wrap and chicken platter open plate. Didn’t really says what’s in the platter so I asked the server at the counter and she was not very helpful and disinterested in explaining. I assumed and asked if it had meat, salad, chips, pita bread and tzatziki and she said yes. When we got our food the souvlaki didn’t look too bad for the price and the platter was also quite generous extreme fact that it had no salad but just half a sliced tomatoes. The chips had not seasoning and so did the meat. Felt bland and plain with no flavour. We had Greek food in city and felt it was times better.nnOver all, good to try once but not my favour and don’t think we will ever go back.
Simple Greek food staple restaurant. Simple decor. But the food is fantastic. Gyros is juicy and tasty. The dips with pita are on point, varied and best of all value for money.nnThe service staff was friendly and polite.
Super busy place to grab delicious food. We grabbed 2 gyros pork souvlakis, a pork gyros platter and a side of chips with tzatziki sauce.nEverything had good flavour and the chips were seasoned nicely.nCan’t wait to come back!
