It all started when we drove to the reception centre, a lovely lady and her partner who visit Mataranka every year and have relatives in Darwin greeted us with big smiles and the man had a super funny sense of humour - what a great start. It got even better with the location of the park which had river views, a huge pool and might I add, super clean and new shower facilities with great water pressure! This place is not to be missed - really enjoyed our 2 nights there and the locals who resided at the caravan park were readily available to assist and have a friendly chat. Thanks, team! We will be back soon!!

Very clean, spacious and quiet with a nice view on the river. All new building for the ladies showers & toilets. Friendly staff!

Poor access to site due to stone retaining wall. Site not level. Concern for caravan rolling back. Overall nice views and quiet park. Would recommend.

Great location. Our tent site had a nice view of the river. Shower and toilet amenities are well and truely out of date and in desperate need of updating. Communal kitchen and bbq areas are also tired and haven’t been touched since the 60’s. Apart from that, it was pleasant enough.

Close to river, nice clean ametities,  not much grass, a lot of sites don't have sullage
