You come here for the views and the atmosphere.nnYou have to order hot and cold separately. Which is something to keep in mind if want your food to come out in a particular way.nnWe got two grilled Fish and chips. It's nice. Very well cooked. The flavour is very garlic forward.nChippies were very well cooked. I did expect a few more chips, however it was nice.nnTo note, Chips are very lightly salted, however there are plenty of shakers aroundnnHouse made tartare, imho, not worth the additional costs. It does not have much flavour.nnGravy is too runny and plain in flavour, yet it's nice with the chips.nnMushy peas are unique. I am not sure how I feel about these, again not much flavour and a bit dry. A bit vinegarynnOysters were nice and a good size. Got the Kilpatrick and they have a nice bbq flavournnThe scallops were the highlight. Incredibly well cooked and nice flavour.nnThe salads are nice, definitely over priced but it's nice to have a lighter side.nnDrinks are reasonably priced, just can be hard to get someone's attention at times.nnPlenty of seating. Would be nice if people didn't feed the Gulls....please do not feed the Gulls.nnOverall, touristy area with a great view.nJust be prepared for average seafood at tourist prices.
We had a wonderful meal at Kailis Fish Market! We ordered the seafood platter, soup, and bread, and everything was fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. The seafood was cooked perfectly, the soup was comforting and flavourful, and the bread was a great addition to the meal. Friendly service and a lovely atmosphere made the experience even better. Would definitely visit again!
A group of us stopped into Kailis in Fremantle for a late lunch/early dinner after being drawn in by the amazing aroma coming from the restaurant. The smell alone had us hungry before we even sat down.nnWe ordered a variety of dishes and, for the most part, the food was excellent. The fish and chips were outstanding—fresh, crispy, and exactly what you hope for when visiting a Fremantle seafood institution. The grilled snapper was another highlight, beautifully cooked and packed with flavour. The serving sizes were also very generous, making it great value for money.nnDessert certainly didn't disappoint either. The waffle with ice cream was sensational and the perfect way to finish the meal.nnThe only dish that fell a little short was the seafood chowder. While the flavour was rich and enjoyable, it was lacking in seafood and other ingredients, making it feel a little underwhelming compared to the other dishes we tried.nnThe atmosphere has a relaxed maritime feel that suits the Fremantle waterfront perfectly and adds to the overall dining experience.nnOverall, Kailis delivered a very enjoyable meal with generous portions, excellent seafood, and a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Fremantle.
Had a great meal at Kailis Fishmarket Cafe.nnThe atmosphere was fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor seating available, and a beautiful waterfront setting. It’s a relaxed, casual spot where you can easily choose where to sit depending on your preference.nnI ordered a seafood and chips platter fish, prawns, scallops, calamari and hot chips, and everything was fresh and delicious. The scallops were especially large and impressive. It’s a great sharing option, especially for a light lunch.nnThe food is ordered in a self-service style, which makes everything quick and easy.nnIt also feels very family-friendly, with simple, approachable options on the menu. The banana split was a nice nostalgic touch, something that reminded me of childhood desserts that you don’t often see anymore.nnOverall, a perfect spot for casual seafood with great views, generous portions, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Kailis Brothers Seafood at Fishing Boat Harbour in Fremantle is definitely worth a visit. It is very busy on weekends, so recommend getting there early or try a weekday.nnThere is an enormous range of seafood options available, catering to just about every taste, whether you prefer freshly BBQ’d seafood or classic fried favourites. The venue is very well set out, with separate sections for fried food and BBQ meals, making ordering simple and efficient. There’s also a dedicated alcoholic bar along with a dessert and coffee section.nnThe restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. While the outdoor area has lovely fresh air and great waterfront views, the birds can be quite persistent if you’re eating outside, so it’s something to keep in mind. Inside seating is comfortable and spacious, and the entire venue, including the toilets, was impressively clean.nnService operates via a buzzer system, which worked smoothly and meant no waiting around wondering when your meal would arrive. There are also assorted salts and vinegars available to help yourself to, while extras such as mayonnaise and tartare sauce can be purchased separately.nnWe ordered the BBQ platter and asked if the fish kebabs could be swapped for fried fish, which the staff were more than happy to accommodate. The seafood was exceptionally fresh, beautifully cooked, and generous in portion size.nnA fantastic spot for casual seafood dining with plenty of variety and a relaxed atmosphere.
