I gave 4 stars on food because when they cook the grilled seafood that I ordered It felt like it lacks salt, its bland. The fried dishes tasted good. The chili mussels are average taste. The oyster is not that fresh, make sure when you order ask the teller if the oyster is really fresh. The ambiance is good as we seated outside with the view. Service is fine nothing special.
Good Friday was chaotic at Kailis fish market Fremantle! When we arrive for our booking we did begin to worry that the sheer volume of people would affect the quality of food served and the customer service. However, after booking a table earlier in the month and pre ordering the “Oh Holy Ship” seafood platter we hoped that our organisation would pay off.nnAnd boy did it!nnCustomer service was outstanding, and considering the hundreds upon hundreds of other customers, the service was a sheer testament to the staff who went above and beyond to deliver. The staff were very attentive, regularly checking in with us, took photos for us and even allowed us to swap out some of the items on the platter for more kid friendly options.nnOnto the food.nnThe quality of the seafood was incredible- this is not an overstatement, in all honesty the simplicity of this statement is true. All of the seafood was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Each dish was beautifully presented on the platter with its own unique space and flavours. The lobster mornay and bbq lobsters were tender succulent and delicious, the chilli mussels were stunning and served in a rich tomato broth with just the right amount of spice and the oysters were fresh, delicate and flavourful- and that’s just a few of the things we ate. The size of the “Oh Holy Ship” seafood platter is no joke- photos do not do it justice! It was always our intention to order more food to supplement enough for our table of 9 but we ended up with leftovers!nnThank you Kailis Fish Market for a delicious and memorable Good Friday experience! We will definitely be back!
My husband and I went to Kailis Fishmarket for lunch on our day trip to Fremantle. We got there just before the busy lunch rush. We ordered the Seafood Chowder in a Roll and Seafood Platter. The Seafood Platter was DELICIOUS!!! The fried fish was big, fresh and crispy, the calamari, scallops, and shrimp was huge and also crispy. It was the best fish and chips, calamari and shrimps we have had!! The Seafood Chowder had a lot of fish, some clams, etc. Overall, both was great, but expensive! The view was excellent as well! Love the location!nn- Nov 2024
The fish and chips at this restaurant are the best!nWe visited for lunch as a family of four.nThere were many customers in the restaurant, but we were able to get a seat.nThis restaurant has separate counters for each menu item, which was a little confusing at first.nWhen the food is ready, we go to the counter to pick it up.nWe ordered the set menu, which included a little bit of each popular dish, which was just right.nThe fried fish and squid in particular were delicious and we ate them all in no time.nIt faces the sea, the atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice, and the beer was great.nIt's a restaurant we'd like to visit again!
Check this place out If you are looking for classic fish and chips — It's one of the best in Perth! The fish was fresh and battered well like what you'd expect and has a nice bite with flavours really hitting the spot. Portions were very generous for their platters, nice if you plan to share with a group.nnThey also had plenty of other other options as well like shellfish and raw items too! Highly recommended!
