Nice area by the beach. Friendly staff and sites are well laid out. There are lots of bathrooms and sink areas. The button to start the shower is outside which is awkward but manageable. My only comment is regarding the kitchen - it's too small for the number of people. There are two, 4 burner elements that take a very long time to heat up. The sinks are okay with space in between for dishes but there isn't much prep space. $44/night, powered, 2 adults.

On the plus side Cheaper than many holiday parks we saw in the country. Beach on site Many spots for pitching a tent Multiple sanitary blocks On the negative side Very close to highway and local airport so can get noisy Sanitary block #3 could get a freshen up and renovations. The showers are free but limited in time Curfew in 4x4 which should be 8am-8pm is not really enforced so we had evening noise as some were driving around Make sure you think about the sun. It is very strong so the spots for pitching the tent right by the beach give a nice view, but you will be cooking there if you do not have shade. Not saying good or bad but something to think about when you choose your spot.

Best ever holiday park experience!!! Kaikoura Peketa you have restored our faith in holiday parks. Superb all round. We can't wait to come back for our next visit.

We had a sea front power site. The beach very course nearly black sandy stone. Not very nice to walk on. Massive site if you like that thought of thing. No local sea front walks from park.

This was our first holiday park experience and it was perfect. We had the most amazing sunset and all of our camper neighbors were very friendly.
