Ate here for our parents' anniversary! Make sure you book as they get very busy specially during weekends. They serve a little late but that is totally understood because there were really so many people dining. Their cake section was amazing and commendable as well. I have previously had a bad experience with Chinese food before so I'm quite careful but Joyful Restaurant really delivered here. Awesome experience and will definitely be back in the future :
The dumplings is my favourite so normally go for large plate. Crispy skin chicken also all time favourite.... Everything is good, so go for a good dinner. The staffs has been more friendly lately, so great improvement.
Great value and taste. Portion sizes are large. Easy to find free park at the back of the restaurant
I have been coming here frequently since 1992. I never had a bad meal here. Johnny and his team members provide prompt service. Parking: Plenty of parking at the back.
I've been here few time in past month, food is nice and good portion. However, this time I ordered Jellyfish is very disappointed, it's more like I order cucumber, not Jellyfish! It's cost $21!
Enjoyed a great, satisfying and authentic Cantonese/Chinese dinner at Joyful. Food was fresh, tasty and generous in portions. Price was reasonable given the food quality and portions Service was fast and polite despite them being short-handed. Certainly brought joy to our group of hungry travellers craving for good Chinese food after a few horrendous Chinese food misses on the road . Would definitely come back again next time. We ordered fried chicken and fried rice. It was hot when it arrived and we ate it immediately. No heating it up, or leaving it on the bench occurred, as we appreciate this can result in bacterial growth. The chicken was cooked beautifully and the rice and vegetables tasted fine. It did not look like fried rice however, more boiled or steamed, wet consistency. Six hours later, I experienced abdominal cramps and unpleasant gastrointestinal symptoms, which included explosive diarrhoea for 24 hours and I am still symptomatic, 2 days later. If this continues, I will see my GP and get a specimen evaluated, to exclude food poisoning. Presumably this was a case of food poisoning? Without laboratory confirmation, I can only speculate. My partner also had symptoms, but not as severe as mine. We have dined in at the restaurant a number of times and never experienced this before, but chose different dishes to this one. I presume it was the rice? Happy to receive feedback from owners about the preparation and cooking methods for this dish.
Always fast and good food. Not sure about the Peking duck - it's nothing like how it comes in the uk, but I've loved everything else I've had there. They're so quick too. Never a wait for your order.
Absolutely delicious chinese meal it was. Very impressed with whole experience and taste. Friendly people to deal with. I would definitely recommend this place! AAA+ Book before you go. Always fully booked.
Love the dumpling with vinegar sauce. The crispy skin Chiken is so well done with crispy skin and moist inside. Yum. Service is good this time, ice water with lemon... great touch.
