Yesterday we had my daughter's wedding reception at this venue. What an fabulous place. Great service, Wonderful food and plenty of it, from presentation of the amazing charcuterie board to the constant service of hot platters of food throughout the night. Also the drinks were flowing and everyone was full and happy.The set up of the venue was perfect and the staff went over and above seamlessly in the coordination of the night to make this a perfect, magical night for my daughter and her husband. I cannot praise management and staff enough for making this a perfect day for my daughter and family. If you are looking for a wedding reception venue then consider this place. It is spectacular. Thank you so much for everything you did to make this a special day. I would highly recommend Johnny's Emporium for any function and am looking forward to coming back again very soon.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Johnny’s Emporium and we cannot say enough nice words about the staff, service and venue. From day one, Michael was incredibly helpful and answered all of our questions. He clearly knows what he is talking about and offered endless suggestions that have worked for him in the past and helped the night run smoothly. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, we had a few phone calls with him to go over all details, and he happily liased with a number of our vendors so that we didn’t have to be the middle man. On the night, he regularly checked in with my husband and I, updated us on what was going on and made sure we were always the first to be fed. He was super relaxed and easy to communicate with; making the whole experience incredibly easy and enjoyable. We truly could not recommend Johnny’s Emporium highly enough. The food was fabulous and enjoyed by everyone, the addition of the disco balls, neon sign, plants and gorgeous bar made for great photos and an epic vibe. Thank you again, we had the best night!
Johnnie's Emporium were the business sponsors for our community of business women. Each month we held events in their incredible space. The small business/family team here are so supportive, relaxed and brilliant to work with. Such a beautiful space that can suit so many needs for different events. Highly recommend you check it out for your next event.
We recently held our engagement party/surprise wedding at Johnny’s and it was certainly a night to remember. Michael and the team were a pleasure to deal with and their communication leading up to the event was perfect. Thank you to you all for a fantastic night!
Absolutely DISGUSTING customer service!! I had booked and paid a deposit back in august for my 30th birthday in December at Johnnys emporium only to be emailed 3 weeks before the event to tell me that they had double booked the venue and I needed to change the date or they would help me find another venue, which I accepted as I know mistakes can happen. I was then completely ghosted by them and then left to find a new venue myself with less than 3 weeks until my December event. I have emailed, called and text with ZERO communication back which at this point is just disrespectful. I am yet to receive my deposit back and am STILL waiting for a response
We went to Johnny's Emporium for a group dinner on it's second day of opening a Thursday night. The service was disorganised, disjointed and reactive. The food was okay - I'd give the food another go, unfortunately it might have suffered by going cold while we were waiting for the staff to provide us with plates, cutlery and an explanation! Our group of 6 ordered a sharing menu. At the time of ordering, the waiter confirmed back to us, that we were ordering a sharing menu for 6. Note: we had booked and were seated at a table for 8 but had notified the venue that only 6 would be coming tonight. At the time of ordering, the sharing menu was not explained to us in any way nor is it described on the menu so, we were quite shocked when the food started to arrive and we were faced with the prospect of having to slice up 2 pancakes amongst 6, 5 dumplings amongst 6, 2 different bao dishes of 2 pieces each amongst 6. And then again later, 2 scoops of ice cream in 2 ice cream cones amongst 6. Diners shouldn't have to get their angle rulers and calculators out to work this stuff out! At one point, the server saw that we had 4 knives to eat our ice cream, and asked "is that enough?" I've attached photos of the dishes that were served so you can get an idea. To add insult to injury, we were constantly sitting at the table with empty glasses and drinks took a long time. An innocent order of lemon, lime and bitters took approximately 20 minutes to arrive. Earlier, eager to try the array of spirits on offer, diners at our table asked for various mixed drinks including a dirty martini with gin, 'CC' or 'Jacks' and coke. Each time the server had to go and check if they actually had these and would disappear for quite some time only to return to say they couldn't serve these. Meanwhile, much of the rest of the table had already finished their beers and wines and was waiting for someone to offer them a top up. Eventually a senior member of staff came to listen to our concerns and explain how the sharing menu works. He was very compassionate and empathised with our position as a result of all the previous staff dropping the ball.
We just celebrated our son's 1st Birthday at Johnny's Emporium and were very impressed with a beautiful modern, relaxed style venue. Love the atmosphere! Michael and his team were very professional, friendly and so helpful. Michael made sure every finer detail was covered and also appreciate you letting us come and view the venue too. Amazing service, food and drink, were nothing but perfect! I would highly recommend Johnny's emporium for anyone who is looking to celebrate a special occasion. Thank you so much for helping us create a memorable and special day for our son's 1st birthday.
We recently had our wedding at Johnny's Emporium. Four weeks later and I am still receiving compliments from guests about how great the venue was! Mainly the delicious food and the modern style of the venue, and right in the heart of Yarraville. The staff went above and beyond to produce the most amazing day. We were offered the flexibility to have the exact wedding day that we hoped for. Thanks so much!
Johnny's Emporium was the perfect venue for my 50th and made the night so special. It's a lovely layout and gorgeous venue with two spaces to choose from. Michael was wonderful to deal with and everything felt seamless. All the guests raved about the venue and also the food. I would highly recommend Johnny's if you're looking for a very special place in a great location.
We had my 40th birthday in the smaller room, with approximately 60 guests. Great space, exceptional food, perfect set up, accomodating staff. Great night had by all!
