I wish I could give zero stars. Ordered the barra and chips, chips were undercooked, barra was overcooked. They advertise it as fresh but it's clearly not horrid smell. Horrendously overpriced. The fish itself was battered but clearly not dredged in flour as the batter peels off with no resistance. 0/5
The fish and chips here are just divine as are the rest of the offerings in the seafood section. It was a delight to crunch on the just-cooked Sweet Lip and chips. We will definitely be back to have a second helping. The service was also of a very high calibre, and having a pleasant section where you can eat with your friends is also a big plus. Congratulations to the Chef and staff of The Fish Depot!!
Had the crumbed snapper with chips and was delighted with the beautiful, light, crispy crumb and delicious fresh fish. Chips were also lovely. Treat yourself and try the tartare sauce - probably the best I've ever tasted. You can takeaway or there's a nice sitting area to dine in as well!
Nice fish. Cooked well, crispy yet moist & not dried out. Chips were average. Tartare sauce with addition of finely chopped herbs was a nice surprise. Coleslaw also better than average. Good value.
Our group Key Business Network meets here every Wednesday morning and they open up at 6:30 just for us. These guys are so friendly and obliging. The coffee is great and the big breakfast is huge with some of our guys struggling to finish. We chose this restaurant because they have a separate room with a TV which we are allowed to use. - Thank you Chris and Jess for looking after us so well.
Best fish and chips I have ever had! They also have a dining area where you can dine in with friends which is a nice little touch. Will definitely be back.
Best fish n chips ive had in Australia...took me back to NZ! Lots of seating inside, nice and clean and the Greek boss there was so friendly and funny!! Will take my family back here again for sure!! Thank you!!
Not that I've tried them all, but I think you'll be hard pressed to find a better fish and chip shop in Brisbane. Good, quality seafood and snacks.
Customer service was rude, fish was okay, chips were okay, halloumi burger was okay was hoping for a salad on the side as it says on the menu but obviously they ment that there is salad between the burger buns- who would have known!! and potato scallops was A scallop and it was a bit raw but tasted alright.
I went there for the first time to get takeaway... Not very good, chips were not crispy, potato scallop batter was not nice either, crumbs on the fish are a very strange orange colour and fish overcooked. Will not be going back here.
