We bought our spa from Jadan Spa's and we didn't listen to the warnings. I wish we had. Their MAAX Spa range is made in China and we had nothing but issues with it. We do realise things break or we might be the recipient of a random oddball product off the line, but it's how a company deals with the issue that is the test. Firstly the spa didn't arrive until over 5 months, not 8-10 weeks as promised on our contract. Even then I had to push and push to get our spa delivered. After a few weeks our spa started to leak. Jadan Spa's didn't want to deal with the issue and directed us to deal with Maax Spas. As an overseas Chinese based company, with only a small office in Melbourne that takes calls but not much else, they have been extremely difficult to deal with. Their Australian based GM Nicholas Christie has been on 'annual leave' for a year now. It took over 1 YEAR to get our spa replaced even though the technician clearly reported our spa was faulty. Maax Spas never denied fault, they just apologise again and again but never action anything. Under Australian Consumer Law I was within my rights to ask for a refund. Maax Spas never denied me a refund but they wouldn't say no outright breaking the law, they actually just never acknowledge the question. "I would like a refund please" Maax " We will replace your spa" So they never break the law by saying no, but they won't go down that pathway. We finally received our replacement spa. The spa arrived without the extras we had paid for. Maax Spas again admitted it was their fault and asked for my account details. After a month and a dozen calls now, I still haven't got my refund. They keep saying their offshore company is waiting to authorise it even though it's a very clear case and there's nothing they can do in Australia. Heed my warning and STAY AWAY. Jadan and Maax Spas are dodgy and produce sub par products. That's $9000 I wish I had never spent.
Very happy with the product but less happy with aftersales service, especially now there is no longer a Melbourne office.
Would be a good idea to add your opening times to Google
