Long queues most days, despite having 2 empty counters & efficient staff. NZ Post likes to make their 'services' as inaccessible as possible by cutting staff. A disaster during covid. But helpfully open Saturdays. Every year NZ Post announce 'increased' prices on 1 July & customers believe it, but postage has never been as cheap in human history as today. A selling-point sadly missed by the NZ Post 'marketing' team! State-run postal services are more efficient than this.
Came in and asked the Korean lady about if they do 10 plus one free economy tracked bag $6.40 because some other shop do and her reply was: you can go and buy at that shop if you want to. Not a friendly answer
Closes at 3pm on Saturdays not 5pm. Most companies update their hours online so people don't waste their time and gas going to closed shops....
The women on the service counter are not friendly in this post shop. I feel like an inconvenience.
This is no longer a post shop. You cannot post anything or do most of the other post services. They have signs up still but only lotto is operating for a while longer
Basically, I don't get to finish from my work everyday until after 4.30 pm everyday. I've got a really important item to send to overseas today, so I went there at the first instance as the one down in Terrance End reportedly closes at 4.30pm. So I arrived this post shop late, like around 10 mins before they close. So I know I was late, and I quickly filled out the form, and went to the front desk paid for the courier. However, the lady said I wasn't filling out the form in capital letters, and I put a dollar sign in the box where I declared it value of the item. I was being given another form, asked to fill it out, and "come back tomorrow". I explained to her my work situation, and said I'd filled it out as quickly as possible; she declined it, charged me for the post bag and sent me off. Honestly, I knew I was late, and they've got a total right not to offer any service after hour. However, I just find the lack of understand unhelpful, also with the passive aggression and obsessive compulsion being obstructive. This is me first time being turned down for not filling out the custom declaration form in capital letter, to be fair. I've also read the reviews written by other customers and it's rather obvious that there's some customer service issue needed to be address.
Thank you helpful. It's a shame that alot of the POs have been merged in to no bill payments taken, heyhaa, least can still do. Grateful, love the Post Office been with for years, as have others. Thank you.

If there is a choice of minus score I would like to give the attitude and service here minus. The lady I think it is the one people describe bald girl in below comments with a cap so arrogant and don’t want to say one more extra word to a foreigner. Face expression is frozen and no any patience. Only want to finish within 2 words . The the tone she is talking showed a great unwelcoming attitude. I will never come here again! Most of New Zealander are so nice but she is an exception! But I’m happy I learn to do the rego myself from online service if it is not because of her bad attitude! I saw so many people complain this post office bad service and attitude, was wondering why the boss don’t consider to improve their service and the location is in the center of city, it is a bad sign of such a beautiful Palmerston North !
Well interestingly they charged about $29 less than what a Four Square in Raumati South quoted for an express parcel to overseas! However, the drama given by the young lady later came to know to be Sam atvthe counter explained why this store has well earned so many bad reviews! The parcel finally reached the destination without any issue, so I won't provide too much details of the drama! But I could do without the stress the drama had caused, especially when in the next few days Covid related lockdown had started! NZ Post, please train all these irresponsible counter clerks to be like rest of the New Zealanders, genuine and honest!
