Awesome authentic Indian mouthwatering food In New Plymouth, even kids want to go there again. Loved the ambience, special tea and food was so yum.
Love the decor and theme of our new favourite restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. We had delicious starters and main meal. It was surprising, and hard to resist, to be offered a chocolate brownie and ice cream for desert.
We went on what had to have been the busiest Wednesday ever. Thankfully the gin kept flowing. Reid Reid Gin Grandmas Chicken Curry was mouth sooooo good. Recommend plus plus.
Serious underwhelmed. Ordered lunch here today and got a very watery cold chicken korma, just over 3 quarters full for $17. Robbery! And where has the complimentry popadom gone? This is the second time this has happened now since they moved into the new building and had a change of staff. Looking at stopping buying food here after supporting for many years.
Food is good and delicious but is definitely overpriced in my opinion. Wait time can definitely improve. Staff members are extremely friendly and welcoming. Customer serice is good. The place is cozy and has an authentic Indian ambience which releases a good vibe.
We were a walk-in and restaurant was full but we were seated at the bar and able to order food and wait for a table to free up. Bar staff were polite and professional but lack a casual banter quality that is nice in a good bar man/woman. Relatively noisy but also very busy so was understandable, the bar area was a bit crammed, however when seated to eat it was quieter and had normal space around to move in The food was really well done, rich flavours with just the right amount of food per serve. Waitress was engaging and chatted to us while remaining professional, showing interest but also focused on her job. Overall considering how busy they were we had a pleasent experience and would definitely go again... And would book in advance!
Let me start by saying you when you are having a bad day craving good food in NZ and you are passing by New Plymouth. You have to visit India Today, you will get great Indian food when you least expect it. The ambience is beautiful, the food is amazing, the drinks have been thought about and their service absolutely top class. Definitely not to be missed!
These guys are the best! Been dining with Sunny and Jesse for 20 years, they’ve always made the best Indian food in town and are like Uncles to our 3 kids. Love your work guys!! Dietary restrictions: The staff at India Today are always willing and happy to accomodate with dietary requirements. I’m starch and gluten free, vegetarian and don’t eat garlic and Onion, they will do all this and produce the most spectacular food.
Exquisite food and exceptional service, best Indian food I’ve ever had and the staff were fantastic. We asked the owner to order for us and the quantities were perfect, the selection was fantastic and EVERYTHING was delicious.
Excellent food, service and ambience! The food was super tasty, the drinks were delicious and the staff was very friendly. This is a gem for Indian food in New Plymouth. Don't miss out on this amazing place!Food: 5/5
