India Gate Restaurant

The food was delicious and plenty of choice . Real traditional flavours . very fresh food . I would highly recommend the restaurant we had butter chicken , mix platter combination of samosa ,potatoes roll ,lamb and chicken . we also had lamb Rogan josh and that was outstanding. I am not generally a fan of Indian food so this was a pleasant surprise and yes I would go back again .

We will never go here again or recommend this place. We were half greeted by a bored young man in a puffer jacket who told us offhandedly to just sit anywhere . Our waitress was arrogant and downright rude when we went to pay.... not even looking at us or asking how things were or thanking us. She couldn’t tell my partner which meals had garlic and was dumbstruck when he asked for extra garlic in his chosen meal. We felt uncomfortable the whole time, no one smiled here and in fact seemed stressed and miserable even though it wasn’t busy . I have given one star for the wine! Sliced onion on a plate sprinkled with pepper ... onion salad ??? Just nope 👎

The food was average, so was the service for take aways. Not sure I'll go back to be honest. There were roadworks at the time therefore unpleasant experience getting there but it was a while ago and probably all sorted now. A friendlier attitude will do this restaurant the world of good.

Excellent friendly service, good pricing and great food. Clean and neatly presented restaurant. Highly recommended to families and for romantic dinners.
