Beautiful, classic Australian landscape with lots of good hikes. Highly recommend the hike to St Mary peak; it's a 14 km return from the visitor center and quite strenuous, but the 360° views are absolutely worth it. There are also many scenic lookouts along the roads through the Ranges and signage is clear

We probably were there at the wrong time ... summer. The 3 hour walk from the visitor centre to Wilpena Pound lookout and return was quite good but very exposed for the last kilometre. The longer walks were closed due to heat of summer.

Beautiful with heaps of wildlife: kangaroos, emu's. Super amenities! Good for a day out for some walks, even better for staying longer and camp somewhere:)
