Purchased 600+ mtrs of B Grade Merbau decking in Nov15. Within 15months more than 10% of boards had bad wood rot. IKAhousing physically inspected the deck taking samples and confirmed there is an issue with the timber sold to me, but agreeing only to a max of 14% remedy. Subsequent building inspection found the problem more extensive and deemed the deck unsafe due to rapid rotting and boards collapsing. My other Bunnings merbau decks are 6+ yrs and are fine so not a local environment issue. So replaced the entire 600+mtrs with Bunnings A Grade timber for not much more in timber cost. But now out of pocket $4,000 plus. Kept the receipts and rotted timber for further action [now with Office of Fair Trading]. I am happy to hear from other people with the same issue. I would not purchase their B (or A) grade Merbau even for indoor use.

Keep contacting, no replies, initially was trying to find out if the wood is really 'Legal timber', not cut from Borneo (Killing Orangutans), or from Virgin forest in Sumatra, from a few initial responses to now, nothing, no replies.

I'm from melbourne and they do delivery to melbourne with cheap price. Wasn't in melbourne at the time they delivered, Daniel arranged to hold my decking till I got back. Great service, good quality, hope they can open stores in melbourne too.

quality of decking was really poor - had to buy repair stock from Bunnings - I dare not go there again.
