Having purchased now three Hyundai's, I20, Santa Fe and Kona I was always loyal to this brand until now. The Santa Fe had an electronic brake motor failure and the replacement part is a whopping $3000 plus labor!!! Granted the vehicle is out of warranty, however under Australian Consumer Law, as the part is not subject to normal wear and tear, it should last the life of the vehicle and as such it is not fit for purpose. Try telling that to Hyundai Customer Care and care is their term, not mine. The dispute has now gone on for more than three weeks with my vehicle stuck in a workshop at Maddington Hyundai. No slant against them as they have been very good. Hyundai did offer to pay 50% of the part, still leaving me more than $2000 out of pocket. I had to call Hyundai Customer don't Care every day for the last three weeks with promises that the case manager will call me within 2 hours. Never happened. Today finally got through to a case manage Chris and the end result was he hung up on me!!!. Hyundai have now lost a very loyal customer and the new Tuscon we were about to order will not be happening. Do not go there and if I could give less than 1 star I would.
Do not believe the warranty claim for Hyundai! It’s not worth the paper or the promises that are claimed by Hyundai. I had my car in three times to a dealer, under ‘warranty ‘ and they make out like it’s such an inconvenience and at their own cost. My car is omitting a terrible smell on start and after the third time Hyundai had my car, for days and days at a time, it is now not even the same car anymore. Each time they booked my car in they also made me wait weeks and weeks between each appointment and finally I gave up. My Hyundai has now just run out of warranty and I am being completely palmed off by the company. It’s absolutely a terrible way to run a business and treat a customer. I am looking into taking this issue further as I want my car to be back to what it was before it was apparently assessed.
Hyundai Australia we are super frustrated and extremely disappointed in your customer care. For 5 weeks now, my husband has been chasing the resolution of our complaints. He has been calling nearly on a daily basis and although you advise him that you will call him back, no one ever does. He called to escalate our case almost a week ago and the supervisor still hasn't contacted him. Even with him chasing once again! Honestly, this is making us doubt the quality of your service and parts. The issue we currently have should not be something we have to deal with considering the age and km's on the car. We service the car on a regular basis and have the full service history. You've now lost 2 customers because of how badly you have dealt with our issues.
I purchased my Hyundai new from the dealership and it has caused me nothing but problems with many ongoing issues. I've had major repair work done for issues such as a leaking head gasket and misfiring engine with less than 50,000kms on my car. Customer service is terrible and completely disregard what the customer says. Better service from the teenagers at Maccas
I brought a Hyundai Tucson in October last year and I am very disappointed I still have not got a tow bar fitted on my car . Not very happy I think Hyundai should come to the party with some free servicing. If I had known I had to wait this long I would not of brought one.
Terrible service given by Hyundai Customer Care. Could not resolve one issue. Dealer says call Customer care & they say call Dealer. Feel like wasted $35k.
I had my Iload van serviced by Midland hyundai on monday 12th july 2021 and the service team member damaged my van, then disconnected my dash cam and cleared the memory to cover up what he had done, when I bought the car , I ordered dark window tinting but despite paying $400 for the tinting it was never undertaken and despite me questioning the tint job they kept on claiming it was done, on monday 12th july 2021 after i collected my van , I had a car tint company look at the windows and confirm that they werent tinted and it was just factory glass, they didnt wash the van after its service, and i am still waiting to hear from the service manager in regards to my complaint, the receptionist in the service department would have to be the most patronising person i have ever met, her attitude towards my concerns about certain issues with the van was condasending and arrogant, never again will I recomend Hyundai Midland to anyone.
