Awesome sound for live music, and lots of bars. But terrible construction. The 2 upper levels are useless, as you cannot see anything on the stage (unless you are one of the twenty or thirty people on the balcony). Can fit lots of people in this venue, but unless you are on the bottom level the experience isn't great. Also, I noticed the headline act enter through the front door with everyone else. Little bit awkward.

Absolutely appalled by the experience at hq on new year's and the behaviour of the security guards, awful awful people with no quality of customer service or care. We payed for entry at the start of the night, and when we came back the security guard accused my friend of having a fake stamp and was not going to let us in, after we got in she chased us up the stairs and accused us for having attitude when we didn't even say a word to her except that we had paid entry earlier. We then went to the bar to get a drink where a male was sexually abusing/assaulting me. We told the bartender as there was no security present and the bartender just laughed in my face. My friend then told him to leave me alone. This man choked my best friend then king hit him to the rear of his head. The bartenders saw everything and did nothing, I then had to carry him through the dance floor whilst he was passing out in my arms. We told security what had happened and they screamed in my face told me to "f**k off" because "people were trying to get in" he then was pushing me and my friends into the road saying we needed to leave the premises. I will be taking this matter very seriously, this will not end here. I can't believe the level of disrespect and neglect by the staff of hq. A police report has been made!

Across the 5 floors, the $10 before 10pm or $20 after entry is worth every cent. Great music and djs and fantastic lighting!! Love this place! ()
