First time at Howler last night. I certainly didn't know what to expect walking in but it's a very different and unique venue. Lots of indoor plants, artwork on the walls, sofas, tables and bar stools. I ordered a chicken schnitzel for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Plus a Hawkers Hazy Ale.
I visited the place on Sunday, and to my surprise, it wasn't very busy at all, which made for a pleasant dining experience. The ambiance was relaxed , perfect for enjoying a meal without feeling rushed. I decided to try the steak, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. It was cooked to perfection, with a juicy tenderness and rich flavor that made every bite a delight. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly delicious dish!
Beautiful venue for a gig! We loved being able to get a super delicious meal before the show too, steak night was a real winner with the eye fillet cooked to perfection. Band room has excellent sound and lighting and I loved that it didn't get insanely hot like most smaller venues!
My office is within walking distance, and we usually knock off for after works drinks on a Friday at around 2pm or so. Work life balance is spot on. But so is Howler. Recently I may have taken too much advantage of their happy hour specials. Which is a very good thing.
Have been in the findrion room several times and it’s a versatile and very pleasant venue with it down bar and bathrooms.nnI find the main area of Howler looks nice but can get too loud and echoey for me.nnFood available - I haven’t eat there yet. Sometimes has happy hour specials on.nnAll accessible via wheelchair.nnParking is usually a nightmare it’s close to the Brunswick Baths / Community Pool and RMIT design so avoid driving for a better experience, or plan for the time you’ll need to find a car park.
