Hot water beach top 10 is located a short 10 minute walk from Hot Water Beach. It offers private bungalow-type rooms, dorms, camper van and tent camping. Bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared and maybe not as big as a holiday park of this size would need. After low tide time (that's when you can visit the hot water beach) there can be queues at the showers. In fairness I thought it was a very good place to stay, comfortable and affordable! Recommended!

The nearby beach was great. The holiday park was not. For the price I paid I expected MUCH better. The standard cabin I stayed in was probably worth paying about $40 or $50. All you get is beds and a bar fridge and absolutely no room to move. I've stayed in many holiday parks and I've stayed in cabins twice the size that were nicer and half the price. Definitely not worth the price.

Excellent site with great facilities. The deluxe cabins are a little way from the facilities so take a torch to find the toilets at night but they are beautiful inside and face onto a grassed area, woodland and a small river. 10 min board walk to hot water beach.

Super fun and unique experience! Make sure you know when it's low tide so you can partake. This may be the busiest beach in NZ but it's so fun for a day. Bring/rent a spade/shovel before you come. The hot water springs are VERY HOT so make sure to bring water and provisions for the beach.

Great location and friendly staff. We stayed one night in a family cabin and one night camping. Camping has great value, the cabin not so much. No running water in the cabin and ants everywhere, even in the jug.
