Great selection of Asian products, the supermarket is quite large selling a variety of things from chips, ingredients, noodles, fruit and vegetable as well as bowels and plates and even sells Asian liqueur. Highly recommend visiting this location for any exotic ingredients you may be after!

This Hong Kong Supermarket was a very impressive one. Their standard prices were very competitive if compared with those Asian supermarkets in the Melbourne CBD.nnWhat made the difference included they generously offered significant discounts on a large number of popular items, therefore effectively helping you to save quite a lot of money if you are ok to buy multiple quantities / packs etc.nnI have visited most Asian supermarkets in the Melbourne CBD and some in the eastern suburbs. I reckon this one is the best one in terms of big variety of choices, reasonable prices and convenient location with many car park spaces.

Let alone finding good employees. It’s a real challenge. It is with reluctance and frustration that I write this negative feedback.nnI believe almost every Chinese person in Melbourne knows about Hong Kong Supermarket. Your wide range of products and affordable pricing make it a popular choice. I was introduced to your store by friends, some of whom personally know the owner. Because of their enthusiastic recommendations. We never hesitated to drive 30 minutes to shop at your store. We also know quite a few shop owners along Clayton Road, so visiting your area became a pleasant routine for us.nnOver the years, our shopping experience has generally been enjoyable. Just a few months ago, I even had a light-hearted moment with one of your young female cashiers. I had forgotten to bring my membership card, and she kindly suggested I take a photo of it for next time. Looking back now, I truly regret not taking the time to praise her properly. Polite and thoughtful young people like her are rare these days.nnHowever, during my last two or three visits, I sensed a noticeable change. Especially during our most recent trip on Saturday, which left a particularly bad impression. My husband and I were shopping as usual and queued up to pay. When we bring a pram, we always use the checkout lanes near the ice cream freezer because they have more space.nnThat day, our checkout was handled by a female staff member, employee number 00059. From start to finish, she did not say a word which I wouldn't normally mind. As it’s quite common in Asian grocery stores. But what bothered me was her attitude. She was aggressively slamming our items on the counter. Many of the products were delicate noodles. Aside from canned goods which she didn’t dare slam. Everything else was handled roughly. At first, I didn’t say anything, but I noticed a clear difference in her attitude toward the next customer. She was calm and polite. That’s when I turned around to speak with the manager. Meanwhile, she stood there with a smug, as if nothing had happened.nnIf it were the customer who was rude first, then it would be understandable for the staff to respond accordingly. But if a staff member chooses to act out of malice, jealousy, or just enjoys stirring up trouble, then they only have themselves to blame for the consequences.nnTo 00059, you're still young and should have a promising future. But your actions are already paving the way for failure. Don’t assume the company can’t do anything about your behaviour, and don’t keep pretending to be innocent. Your first punishment has already been marked on your face! If you wish to continue acting out next time, we won’t hold back either. Go ahead and try, and you’ll find out exactly what it means to mess with the wrong people.

We love this place - because of the huge variety of grocery goods. Not your typical goods available at the usual supermarkets!  They have Chinese, Korean, Japanese and more.  Aisles and aisles of products containing fantastic ingredients.  The main setback is that sometimes the packet's ingredients and instructions are in a foreign language.  The other thing to watch out for is to make sure you check the Use By dates - with thousands and thousands of stock it is easy for the owners to miss taking out-of-date products off the shelves.

One of the better Chinese grocer South East of Melbourne.   Large variety of Asian products.  The place is roomy, clean, neat and no funny smell.  Most staff are friendly and wear a smile on their face.  Veggie and fruits are quite limited there is a large fruit mart next door.  Overall, almost everything you need you will find here.
