You get almost all the Sri Lankan groceries in here. Kumudu is very friendly and always with a pleasant smile.
Staff have always been friendly when I have popped in. I love all their little fried delights and recently bough a container from the fridge of mixed curries. I asked for a fork as I was happy to just eat the food cold I'm weird hehe on the run but luckily for me, they had a microwave under the counter and they heated it up for me. The little lentil fried things I don't know the name are my favourite!
I have been here and bought food a many times. It’s always been a good experience, however it was not the case today. I was looking forward to enjoy the Sri Lankan Lump rice I bought today, but it was unfortunately a very poor quality when I opened and ate it once I got home, about 30 mins drive from the shop. Though it’s clearly labeled to have potatoes, ash plantain and seeni sambol, none of them were in the box I bought. The rice lacked any seasoning yet alone salt. Extremely disappointed and hopefully the shop owners change their supplier.
Visted tthis little shop last Friday for the first time. 27/7 Shop looked very busy, and a young lady to came to buy few cooked items. On her way out she dropped her dhal curry pack and rushed in to ask for a peice of cloth to clean the mess she created just outside the shop. The shop owner without any hesitation gave her another dhal curry pack free of charge and insisted that she shoould leave the cleaning to him. This kind gesture of the shop owner touched my heart. In a world where money rules everything, this shop owner showed great kindness to this young lady who came to buy her lunch. Cake point would be my go to Sri Lankan shop from now on. Keep up the good work guys!!!
Surprising stock of South-east Asian grocery. Their snacks are amazing. Lunch boxes are huge for the price…..
Agree too much potato in the short eats and barely any meat or fish need to get the ratios right. beef/fish roti must hv beef/fish must be primary ingredient and not a whole heap of potato which is just bulking up same with pan rolls and anything else Must say nice friendly service
Disappointed! I was told one of the best place get son Sri Lankan snacks shorteats Fish Gotamba had nearly any fish in it. It smelt of fish but 95% tasted potatoes. Beef Gotamba, had zero beef in it! My stuffing had 100 % potatoes! Beef Bun, again 100% potatoes. May be its not a lucky day for me. I didn't win any beef ! Giving two stars coz potatoes mix did taste good.

Kumadu provided excellent short eats for my function. Spicey pan rolls, patties and cutlets just right for Aussies and ex-pats alike. Presented well and ready on time. Thank you
Best Sri Lankan grocery store, friendly staff and lots of Lankan food. If you want any pan rolls and cutlets, better come before 5pm
