Council needs to upgrade their carpark ticket machines so there are choices as to how to pay-I left my credit card at home and only had change, but the ticket-machine didn't accept any coins or notes-so I didn't buy a ticket and I got a fine. EVERYONE needs to be able to access machines-not just those with a credit card on them. We live in an inclusive society, so work a little harder on your inclusivity, Holdfast Bay. Other than that, I have no objection to paying a parking fine, but when it leaps from $57 to $135 for being paid late by 3 weeks, I think that's extortion..or are you simply being friendly robbers?
As local residents we are required to pay our council rates on time every quarter which is fair. You would think the council would deliver on the services we are paying for including something as simple as picking up your bins.....they forget every now and then, but there is no accountability for it. Local government wonder why Federal and State Government continue putting forward the inefficiencies of local government and the eventual demise of this level of government. Looking forward to that day, can't come soon enough!
If I could give less than one star I would ! I have recently purchased a property in Glenelg north I have not had my rubbish bin emptied because I did not have a “sticker” on the front of it. I called the council only to be questioned about my garbage! I pay my rates!! Is it too much to ask to have my rubbish bin emptied?? Not happy !!!!!
Rang up as I was not aware of the changes in rubbish removal relating to red bins. The lady told me she didn’t believe that i wasn’t told about it. 20 other bins with the same issue on the street. Then she acted like a pig telling me to stop talking as I was speaking over her which was not true. A truely disgusting response to a change in police which has been done by stealth!
Useless, constantly get people parking over my driveway, they'll issue parking fines but not put a yellow line in front like there is over most of the driveways in my street. All just revenue raising And in response to owners response I did ring the council, have several times before they're going to do anything they need proof, so basically want to revenue raise before doing anything, grr
Not sure if this is the right place to put this. Went to the ANZAC Day service at Glenelg this morning. It was a perfect morning to be up early but it was a wonderful service to attend. Well organised and interesting. The singers were amazing! We also enjoyed the bagpipes and bugler. Overall an emotional and beautifully run event. Well done to all involved!
parking inspector lives an interesting life. dishing out fines day in day out. cant be too fulfilling. all the negative energy he puts out in the world will no doubt catch up with him later in life. I wish him nothing but the best however, its inevitable that he's going to receive the exact opposite. thanks for ruining many people's days you trash person/ council.
I have had to visit this venue on two consecutive days and was very impressed with the effectiveness and high level of customer service. They were eager to help and answer the questions l had. It makes one proud to live in an area where the council is so efficient and helpful. This is what one would expect at all times.
The customer service over the phone is absolutely shocking. I have been having back and forth calls and emails with the events manager about a concert that happened in February, it is now the end of April and I still am at a loss of money from my items being taken and thrown away when I was promised I would receive them once the concert ended. No calls back to my phone when I was told there would be, no manners from the events manager, very poor, rude way to handle my situation which is still not resolved but is hopefully close to being over...
there is a lady at the bin collection dept, the customer service is very very very bad! I guess maybe it's the government job, and she doesn't care as she would keep working until she wants to retire, and less chance for her to lose her job! Anyway, she's not helpful, not friendly, and not nice. I should've written down her name!
