Hobart PCYC aims to provide a safe environment for youth and the community to participate in a range of social and recreational activities.

Story

Activities include gymnastics, weight training, and self defence.

Hobart PCYC also offer special projects, designed to provide activities and support programs to those who are unable to access our facility in Liverpool Street, close to the centre of Hobart.

Activities, once organised and run by volunteers and parents, have changed and expanded over our 50 years of operation, and are now coached or instructed by experienced, accredited personnel.

Reviews

I play basketball on a weekly basis and, although the court is not regulation size, it is a nice court.  The court hire fee is very reasonable also. The change facilities are nice with individual large shower stalls. All astound good facilities.

I visited and tried a Kung Fu class with the instructor Jamie in 2013. Apart from the fact there were only two to three students of some experience who ever attend, at one point Jamie made a fuss as to why I was so tense. At the time my late mother was dying from cancer and other illnesses. When I told him this, without any empathy, he said to me: "What's that got to do with anything?" Then after the class finished and I left and walked up to the intersection of Molle and Liverpool Streets, I heard Jamie talking about me behind my back (several metres down the footpath) saying to the other two students as they walked: "That Andrew is a bit ....."
